I have what I am guessing is a Phoenix dripper clone and broke the drip tip. The tip was not removable and left some in the SS body. Does anyone know the proper drill bit size so I can drill it out and use standard drip tips?
Whoa there, isn't a drip tip more 9mm? a 510 connector is 7mm x .5 and the driptip is bigger... I can't find mine but measured a 510 carto stopper and it comes in at 9mm.
Hey I just checked out a boge 510 carto and a alu drip tip the tip is .3385 OD. and the carto is .341 ID so I'm thinking an R drill would be about right at .339 that would put you at 8.6106 MM
The ID of my Vision Vivi Nova mini is 8.62mm; the plastic drip tip I'm using with it has a max diameter of 8.49mm, but the o-ring (no compression) pushes that out to 8.8mm.
I'm in agreement with oldbikeguy; use an "R" drill bit.
Remember folks Chinese QA. He want's to drill something out of his Phoenix, it is better to go undersized than oversized. Furthermore, not everyone has letter drills hanging around
Thanks for all the input, I did get an IGO-L (so far it is very nice!) but I still will try to repair the Phoenix sometime. The 21/64 I understand but what is a "R" bit? I can see why drip tips fit so differently if different devices now.
