Dreams about smoking?

hey everyone,

Just curious - does anyone have these nightmares? I've been smoke-free for over a year, and usually once a month I have a dream where I smoke like a thousand cigarettes. The dreams are extremely vivid and lucid, and are more like a nightmare than anything. In the dream I have feelings of extreme disappointment, like I've really let myself down. Just had one last night, and can't shake that awful feeling! Alas, it was only a dream, but still. Anyone else?

i haven't had one over smoking. when i had dreads i would have similar "omg, evil stuff is happening to my hair" nightmares, but that's the only lifestyle type nightmare i have had.
i can empathize. at least it's always a relief to wake up and realize you were not sleep-smoking!

I dream about vaping equipment.. seriously.. Like vivid dreams where I'm comparison shopping all the different options (cartos, clearos, attys, mods VV's, fixed voltage) it's not a nightmare.. but kind of restless dream though.

I have the exact same issue. Dreaming of gaping 2 GG's with ZAG's on them at the same time......or getting some new fancy hybrid that no one has and im at Vapercon showing it off to the youtube celebrities like Phil or Grimm lol.

Never have dreams of smoking analogs though.

Never had one of those dreams, but I would gladly trade it for my smoking nightmares. I guess on a positive note, my brain is reinforcing my accomplishment. It's like "oh, so you wanna know how awful you'd feel if you started smoking again? Here, smoke a thousand cigarettes in your dream and tell me how you feel" - and then I wake up in a cold sweat.

No dreams about smoking but I do have a reoccurring dream about Pbusardo and Grimmgreen dancing around my place to 99 luft balloons.

I've been cig free for 3 months as of Saturday and have had a few dreams about smoking. All I really see is the cigarette in my hand going to my mouth and it's like I'm in a small smoke filled room.
I'm glad I'm not the only one!

ive had vivid vaping dreams too. comparison shopping, waiting for packages, the whole 9.

i also had a dream during a spell when i had to quit puffing about me smoking big time. BIG time. it was so real, i thought i had let myself down hard. even after i had woken up it wasnt abundantly clear if i had really smoked or not!

I didn't remember until I saw this thread. There was a cigarette in my dream last night, but I wasn't smoking it, it was just in my hand as I was doing something else. Perhaps I smoked for so long it seemed like natural part of me and I didn't notice.

Despite being off tobacco, and just barely having cravings (more "trigger times" like waking up or after a meal, rather than actually for nicotine) I still think of myself as a smoker.

yea in these dreams, I'm usually having a good time - at a party, camping, out with friends, something of the like. People around me are smokers, and I somehow end up with several packs, and chain smoke. Eventually I run out, and start hitting up everyone else for smokes lol. I don't even crave cigarettes at all anymore, and I'm pretty proud of being smoke-free for more than a year - perhaps this is why I feel so terrible when I wake up. Although it's very relieving to realize it's just a dream.

Still never had a vaping dream, though I assume eventually I'll stop getting these smoking nightmares and I'll be dreaming of puppies and rainbows and Provaris.

See that's what I'm talking about! In that semi-sleep, as you're waking up - that's the scariest part, because it takes a few seconds to realize it was only a dream. But at the time, that few seconds feels like an eternity.

I hadn't thought of this before, but now that I think about it I'm really surprised that I haven't had a smoking or vaping dream.

When I was smoking I'd have dreams that I'd get caught smoking by my parents, or they'd surprise me with a visit and find smoking stuff laying around. (I hid the fact that I smoked from them. They live 7 hours away, so it wasn't that hard.)

Anyway, I don't get that dream anymore and I don't think I've ever dreamed of smoking since I quit. I do still occasionally dream that I'm back in school and I've forgotten to go to a particular class or classes all semester, and now I have to take the exams. Or that I'd been slacking at work and was about to get outed for not doing my work. That never actually happened to me of course, but I still dream about it often.

A few weeks into vaping, I had one dream where I caved in and smoked a cigarette. It was a pretty bad sinking feeling of failure. I woke up right then and I was feeling bummed out about it. I thought it was real and it took half a minute to realize it was only a dream. That was a few months ago and I haven't had any smoking dreams since.. or even vaping dreams for that matter. Not that I remember anyway....

I had a dream I was vaping with Charlie Sheen & he kept saying, "WINNING!". He was dripping so when he'd add a couple drips of juice to his atty he'd mumble, "tiger blood"..
