Does your house/car/office smell from vaping?

Just wondering. I didn't think there would be after-smell from vaping like there is from cigarettes, but the other day when I was giving my new PT a tryout, when I came back in the room I could smell what I'd vaped. I can also smell the cartos in the chest of drawers, there's quite a menthol smell now
instead of the incense smell there used to be. Might have to switch my stuff to another set of drawers.

I think you're all getting the idea that I have a strange sense of smell, and I probably do. It has become more sensitive since I stopped smoking, of course, and it's not always a good thing.

So just wondering whether you or others around you can smell when you've vaped inside or smell the cartos sitting in a drawer?

I've never been able to smell anything. Even with all the vaping I do in my car, I've never come back later that day (or days later for that matter) and been able to smell anything (not like cigs, which you could smell in the car days later after it had been closed up and not driven). My parents have never mentioned being able to smell anything (granted, I never asked. And even if they did, I doubt they would say anything or complain since they are just so happy I'm not smoking - I'm sure they would deal with any smell - and it can't be worse than smoke). I only had one friend mention a smell. I used my brand new PT with new RY4 juice I pulled out of my mailbox 15 min earlier. With the first vape, she said it smelled (can't remember what she said it smelled like, but it wasn't good). But after the initial vape, I asked if she could smell it and said no.

I haven't noticed anything from vaping but the carts do (sometimes) seem to have an aroma, katz. Didn't I tell you about the connection between the senses of smell and taste? Your senses are reawakening and on high alert Congrats!

It'll all start to calm down but until then, keep the carts in a plastic box or something sorta airtight...maybe that will help?

I forgot to add... the only time I smell the juice is this one bottle I have (Velvet Vapors grape) - the only one I can still smell despite the cap being on tight. I keep it stored away from my other juices bc I read that someone had a similar situation and stored it with her other juices and then they all smelled (and even tasted a little bit) like the strong smelling one. I have it sealed in a ziplock baggie and I can still smell it through the baggie. But, that is the only bottle that I can still smell when the lid is on.

When we are both chain-vaping at the office it leaves a lovely aroma. The car now smells good too. Never noticed either until recently. I keep all of my liquids & cartos stored in ReallyUsefulBoxes so they are pretty sealed.

The other day I stopped at the dry cleaners - they have sliding door you drive up to and they hang your stuff in the car for you.

When she opened my car door, she said, 'oh wow, it smells so good in here'.

Keep in mind that I am not a car person - there's no cute little air freshener hanging from the rearview mirror and I can't remember the last time I actually cleaned it out so you never know what you're going to find under the seat.

When I told her what it was she was very interested in hearing more.

I told I had tried a bunch of different ecig models before I hit on the best and she should definitely not waste her money on the mall kiosks.

Of course, gave her a V4L card.

I've always gotten compliments on the scent - One woman asked if my dog had just come from the groomer because she smelled so good. Nope, it was all vanilla vapor.

When I vape Blueberry Cobbler, people always ask me what it is because it smells so good. And when I have vaped Chocolate, I can smell a distinct bakery smell, like brownies. I love the smell that comes from the ammo box I store cartos in. When I raise the lid, the combined aroma wafts up and smells delicious. Also, when my hubby snuggles me, he always tells me how good I smell, and I have stopped wearing perfume. I guess I don't smell like analogs anymore.

On the negative side, I found that one does have to be careful about storage of the cartos, as they will take on a flavor from their storage bin. I had some cartos that I carried in a case I had once used to carry perfume oils...they tasted like perfume and I had to throw them all away. There were at least 20 of them.

my sense of smell is coming back and I notice if its menthol in the car I do not vape inside house for two reasons 1.) hubby says no because i was smoking outside anyway ( so i can keep a handle on this too ) ....he quit 7 years ago so maybe it would be a temptation i dont know .
2.) we live in a very humid area and dont need to ADD humidity lol ...we always run a dehumidifier .....
3.) the vanilla smelled good in the car yesterday but i really notice the menthol lingering and i dont really like that so maybe i wont vape menthol in my car

I vape indoors all the time and there's no lingering smell. My car smells.......... like a car. My husband might walk by and say "mmmmmmmm...chocolate" as I'm vaping but it seems to go away quickly. In my storage cabinet for juices the smell is noticeable, though.

My son comments on the smell....he likes it....I do smell different smells when I walk over to my table....mostly the sweet butterscotch type flavors are what really stands out the most from what's bottled....that is till I pull out the peppermint or licorice...I can smell those pretty good too before taking the lid off.....

This is also VERY true of menthol....I keep all my menthol separate from anything else.

My dh makes comments all the time, like did I spray myself with something. I used to body spray, when I smoked analogs. One time he smelt some kind of musk smell. Although, he is happy that I no longer smoking, he doesn't feel comfortable with me vaping in our bedroom, although I stealth vape under the covers when we are both in bed. The kids can smell something, because they like to try to guess the flavors!

My wife can tell what I'm vaping.... She doesn't mind Wowboy, Wowboy peppermint, smilin, or wow cowboy menthol..... She doesn't like Nuport wow... It's an issue....

LOL" He's hasn't taken communion except maybe a couple of times, since we've been to church, and he was 13 at the time, when he said that. By the way, we're not Catholic either. LOL

That is definitely an issue M'Dir.
Interesting so many people have said menthol is the smell that is most obvious - guess what I vape?
