Does it mean I'm allergic to nicotine If I hiccup from vaping sometimes? It only happens when I get a little or some juice from the drip tip in my mouth and swallow it Very rarely do I get them from just the vape. Just wondering If anyone else has ever experienced that or If I should be worried.

No - it doesn't mean you're allergic to nicotine. And yes, I have experienced that in the past, as have many others. Hiccups is nicotine's 'early warning alert' of too much nicotine. It's a 'precursor' to throwing up - again, nicotine's built in 'anti-poisoning' attribute - one of the few substances that actually does that. A 'close cousin' of nicotine is pokeweed which was used as a home remedy to induce vomiting.

Getting some nic on your lips/in mouth just shows how well it is absorbed by the skin/mucus membranes - and the ability to get a 'hit' without deep lung inhalation (vs. cigarettes) - another 'plus' for vaping.

That said, some clearos/tanks are better at not getting 'juice in the mouth'. If you're getting it a lot, you might consider a different clearo/tank - and sometimes it's a sign that it is time to change coils/wicks, since too much ejuice is getting by the coil into the airflow system of the tank.

A list of symptoms when quitting tobacco and changing to an ecigarette | E-Cigarette Forum

"10. Hiccups
Hiccups are reported to be a symptom of nicotine OD, for some people. Because of this, and their common occurrence, they are also known as the 'niccups'. The idea that they may result from an alternative delivery path for the nicotine, via the mouth or gullet (i.e. swallowing it), is attractive to some people.

Hiccups are reported to be experienced by smokers and tobacco users, and are said to be more common among those who use chewing tobacco, Snus, or dissolvable tobacco tablets. It is further suggested that they swallow tobacco juice and hiccups may result. They are not common among pipe and cigar smokers, who are less likely to inhale or swallow smoke, or users of nasal snuff."
