Hubby n' me are herbalists, and we've made substantial amounts/types of different "extractions" (tinctures) over the years. For dried herbs/plants we always use 100 proof alcohol (100 proof = 50% water 50% alcohol). When using fresh herbs (think: large amounts of moisture), we increase the ratio of alcohol to water and use 120-150 proof alcohol) to ensure the liquid has enough alcohol to prevent the growth of mold/fungus & bacteria. If using fresh 'fruit' (even MORE moisture), we'd use 190 proof.
But we wouldn't attempt to make a flavoring for
vaping out of fresh fruit. 1) the water/moisture content would likely be so high we couldn't get the concentration/intensity of flavor we need 2) the sugar content would seriously gunk-up/kill coils (as mentioned).
Agree with FACE MEAT - certainly without the equipment he mentioned, it'd be very difficult & time consuming (if possible even) to create a "flavor" for using in DIY from fresh fruit.
