DNA or YiHi?

Hello folks,

Planning to invest in a dna or YiHi mod, my eye currently is on the Lostvape Mirage (dna 75c), Yihi SX mini SL class, or the Lostvape Paranormal dna 250c. Has anyone had experience with these mods, or would you suggest a different DNA/YiHi mod? I own the Steamcrave Hadron, its just a bit too bulky for me sometimes.

Also, what do you prefer, DNA or YiHi?

My vape preference is a combination of MTL and RDL (single coil), so for me a mod that fires up to 75w is sufficient.

The Mirage is nice, but I like the LV Paranormal so much more. The quality of it in my opinion is much better. I like the DNA boards over the Yihi chips myself...

I really like mine. If the DNA 75 chip fulfills your vaping style it will work too. I tend to vape at a higher wattage myself.

My preference is DNA devices.

I have a few JAC Vapour (UK) Series-B DNA 75's (single 18650). It's a decent DNA mod. Had mine since they were released in 2017.

There is a good thread here with tons of info and user experiences. Many at ECF bought them. Batch 1's had an issue with the coating flaking off for some folks. JAC resolved that with the current version. JAC Vapour Series-B DNA 75w

I vape lower wattages. Normally MTL between 18-28w and RDL up to 40w. I run my JAC's in TC.

DNA chip maker Evolv has software, EScribe, that you can tweak a DNA device to your liking.

For MTL and lighter wattage RDL the JAC is perfect. If you run 40w to 75w regularly then a dual battery DNA device would be a better option IMO.

DNA and Yihi are great if you vape TC. I wouldn't think they'd be worth the price for someone who just sets the wattage, but that would be up to them.

I have a pair each of the JAC Vapour Series B (DNA 75 - not the 75C) and Yihi SX Mini SL Class. I like the DNA chip a bit better, but the Yihi is the sturdier / more reliable device of the two. The Yihi pulses slightly during a draw in a way that the JAC doesn't. It's also got a quirk with the battery cap. I have to put a little pressure on the battery caps while screwing them on or the power will pulse to the mod and wipe out the settings. On the other hand, the Yihis are lasting a lot longer than the JACs. That's not necessarily the chip's fault, though, so you might have better luck with the Lostvapes. I've been thinking about getting one myself.
