Hey guys,

I got a question my local vape store has the dovpo riva mod in both regular and dna form, i love the look of this mod reminds me of odin and odin v2 is my fav mod atm,
im looking for more mods this shape ANY way the dna version is about 80€ more expansive but if some one would compare the 2 in regular wattage and voltage modes would that person even notice a difference in vape?
Is it worth going for the pricier dna one?
Even tho everything else is exactly the same including the housing and buttons used
I kno people love DNAs but these days we got rly solid chips right?

What would you go for?

Also i dont really care for the themes you can put on it thats not a seller for me id prob just rock the basic ui you get with it as default..

I'm not familiar with that particular mod, but if it's a relatively recent release, there might not be that much difference. Also, if you vape TC, that might matter (I do not).

Years ago, the differences were fairly significant (vape quality, etc,), but recently, the gap has been bridged. I've got some really good mods with other chips, which would have been unheard of some years back.

If you're just gonna use regular watts - buy the cheaper one.
If you wanna vape in volts - the DNA does not support that - buy the cheaper one.

If you value a true 1 year + warranty on the board - buy the DNA.
If you value firmware upgrades for a mod - buy the DNA.
If you value the ability to no longer get a dry hit - buy the DNA.

Hmm i dont have that much money as is and i want to buy other vape things too so i think ill aim for the regular version then thx guys...
I dont ever get a dry hit even now, i keep rda pretty soaked lol so tc is not rly a must id rather prefer wattage and voltage..
Upgrades seem nice but its not a must for me especially since the mod is like double in price for the dna
Maybe one day i will give DNA a shot though to see what the fuss is about

I remember when dna 20 came out lol, eleaf right away came with a cheaper version remember those days?
Then dna 30 and hanna modz and now we are at 250c crazy

Owned like 4 or 5 modes on this chipset and really love it. Main reason for all - one of the best TC, best amperage(u need it on low ohms), one of the best accuracy (current output and resistance detection) + сustomizations stuff.
I like that if I use 2 modes on DNA I 100% sure, that 24wats on both of them feels the same.
I thought that DNA is not a big deal, but I tried mtl on mech mod and experienced how different it tastes from the chipset. And DNA gives u same taste as mech. But I talked with a lot of people and not so much of them felt same thing(my girlfriend barely notices the difference), so yeah, so its not a fact that you will feel a noticeable difference in the performance of the chipset.
+its not so important for usual rtas, I can feel the difference only on rda or mtl
But for me Odin gives you pretty much the same experience
So if u have the opportunity to try mod and than buy - do it, if no - dont rush.

It's nice to have the option of temp control. I didn't like TC at first, but now it's my main go-to. Being able to upgrade and add new wire is fun and useful. Also, if the chip goes bad you can get another quickly and easily, or send the dead one back. Total opinion though!
Yeah temp control is a safety thing. Some types of materials get funky if the temp goes really high.

After several years of vaping my answer would be a hard No. save your money and buy some thing you’ve been covertly wanting for a while unless all u use is temp control but most of the top chip makers have really good quality imo.
Dna boards used to be a bigger thing than they are now. For awhile everyone else was more or less crap. They could make ‘em but they didn’t make ‘em very good
