Try browsing around the Modding Forum. Read all the "stickies". You will not be able to post over there until you get in your first 5 posts (and the server updates at :25 past the hour).
Is this for a mod you have or one you are trying to build? If DIY what are you doing? People can't help without the right info and as long as you don't write pages there is never too much info.
There are some fairly simple to make mech mods around. As Susan said, check out the modding forum for more information. You could also Google it and see what you find.
IMO it will be hard to make just a switch assembly for an existing mech mod.
I'm making a wooden mod. It will have a wooden shell and inside will be a copper pipe to house the battery, then a 510 connector. Everything else seems to be working out, the only thing that has me stumped is the button mechanism.
The switch is the hardest bit IMO. Here is something I ran up when thinking of this problem
Might help? Google mechanical switches and try to find images that are close to what you want. They are not that hard to do but getting them right can be a pain.
