Disposables vs Pod

What are the advantages of using disposable vapes over refillable pod devices? They seem to be a waste of money given they only last a day or two and pods last forever given you just refill them and much more cost effective. Maybe I'm missing something here.

Pods unless they have replaceable coils get very expensive very quickly.

Nevermind that the plastic that is used to make pods can react badly with certain flavours.

Disposables are mainly for convenience sake. They are more expensive to use than pods, which are then more expensive than a tank with drop in coils. The most economical route would be an rba. I use exclusively RBA's but will take some disposables and a pod when I go to Italy this fall.

I've found the pod with replaceable coils to have way better flavor than any of my tank setups. I'm using a Caliburn X and Caliburn g (I believe) and they last 10x as long as my Zenith III and Nautilus tanks.

Freemax do some nice mesh tanks like the Fireluke 22, just they're more difficult to find than they should be.

Coils come in 0.25, 0.5, 1.0 & 1.5 ohms so it caters to a lot of different vapers styles.

Yeah, but the Fireluke 22 is the only one that does MTL to restricted DTL.

Oh, I forgot to mention @Trent Erikson that Freemax coils use SS904L mesh so they can be used in TC and power/wattage modes.

TC mode can help extend coil lifespan, as it limits the coil temperature so there's little to no overshoot to actual power needed for optimal vapor production.

IMHO: While BOTH are to costly in the long run the refillable POD's will have a longer service life then disposables.

However BOTH generally have internal batteries which have a limited life span. (~300-400 drain/recharge cycles before they are toast)

I do own two "POD mods" just for fun. While I can get a 'ok' vape out of them they don't last very long at all (good for a handful or less hours of use) and I consider them more of a 'novelty item'.

There's going to come a day where you have one coil that lasts indefinitely. Probably the day after I die it'll be announced.

Nah, it's never the coil that quits but the wicking.

The only thing that gets round that is genesis atomisers, as they use stainless steel mesh for wicking.

And folks think that a dry hit on a mesh coil is bad, a dry hit on a genesis atomiser is considerably worse.

From what little I know there's been a few genesis style atomisers on the market, but they seem to have been forgotten about in recent years.

But one good thing with them is that they provide a pure flavour, as there's nothing with the wicking that imparts any flavour.

No worries at all, I've overestimated the cost a little though. But it's best to err on the side of caution.
