Disposable e-cigs being sold in Sheetz

We took a road trip from northern to southern VA. We usually stop at a Sheetz gas station part way through the trip. I couldn't help but notice the big poster on the door. They are selling Blu disposable e-cigs for $10.

They sell the rip off kits for Blu too..... Blu wouldn't let me return their POS kit but after contacting someone at Sheetz (where I bought it) they let me get my money back.

Good to see more PV exposure but at the same time they are selling a crappy product which will turn people off to vaping.

that's my concern also. also what if something goes wrong at the low end (QC on prefilled cartos) and it's used as an excuse for new restrictions. that may be inevitable, but i'm hoping we get at least another couple years of tank and liquid development so there's a clear alternative and positive market response to the "incident".

Yeah, most convenience stores up here in Maine sell some brand of cheap e-cig-$10 disposables and $25 rechargeable kits and cartridges. They seem to sell well, and are much more accessible to a wider audience it seems.
After forgetting my stuff one day, I bought a CIG2O kit at a convenience store on my way to work, and I have abandoned my other PVs- its reliable, discreet, keeps a good charge, good amount of vapor, and the carts refill easily- No sense being a vaping snob...

They are selling the NjOY kits here in Florida at the Kangeroo quik stop stores for $19.99 I saw the other day. You get what looks like 2 batteries some carts and a usb charger. They also sold boxes of refill carts. I don't know how much those sold for cuz I was in a hurry. BUT, they were there and at least people are getting to see vaping and THAT'S A GOOD THING no matter if it's a cheap product or not in my opinion ! I started with a cheepo and then went better. YAY !!

Where? I went nutz looking for ecigs locally. Found njoy @711 and Blu @Walgreens, but no nic level specified on the Blus. It looks like you're in a more "conservative" area than I am politcally, so maybe ecigs are more welcomed? (I never realized until reading this board how political this is ).

It's funny that njoy is cheaper @711 than on their site. There was only one battery in the kit, tho. I actually didn't mind njoy. The flavor is kind of nice (sweet tobacco), but the vapor is too light and the carts don't last long. Still a decent start for 20 bucks.

Midcoast Maine, is far from conservative- Cigret Shopper, a state-wide chain of smoke shops carry a few types of ecigs, as well as some liquid, and I know Maritime Farms stores generally carry a brand- I don't think it has anything to do with politics, just whether people think they'll sell- a lot of people still don't know what they are, though the managers I've spoken to are amazed at the response.
I think the political aspect of ecigs is more on the national stage and related to Big Tobacco's age old connection to traditional GOP strongholds in the South. Though my brother is a Maine state representative, and occasional vapor, and Democrat, and he has found his party to be especially hard on tobacco and alcohol, while the Republicans are especially down on all other drugs. It is interesting. He did post the NYT article to his Facebook, which is frequented by many of his colleagues in the Statehouse...

I've seen throw away PVs at some local gas stations for a few years now. I always thought they were some kind of novelty item, and never gave them much thought. It wasn't until I seen a late night commercial for some ecig that I decided to look into it. After seeing the mountain of information and suppliers on the internet, I was a little shocked. I had never realized how popular PVs had become, and been around so long. Before I even ordered my first PV, I was seeing all these sites selling "crazy" looking mods. I was so confused to why someone would want to vape out of that, instead a pen-style or cigarette clone model. I was even baffled to why someone would want a manual over a auto battery. I've come along way in the past 2 weeks, and have changed my view on a lot of aspects of vaping. Especially the "dangers" of vaping. Before I ordered one, I had a few people warn me about how they were worse than cigarettes. But I read a little bit and researched and came to the conclusion that they were misinformed.

Anyway, I don't know why I was so blind to how big vaping was. Just thought it was a novelty thing, that would never really take off. I haven't tried a disposable model, and wouldn't bother. You can by a real PV battery for just about the same price as the disposable one.
