I switched from 2.5 ohms down to 1.5 ohm (kanger atomizers) and noticed an immediate and considerable improvement in my vape. I was using at the time a VAMO v5 (now use an iPV2 50 watt). Seems the sweet spot for me is between 1.2 and 1.8 ohms (at least that is what i build now).
I have not tried the new .8 kanger coils. Stay tuned. (Check your mod specs to determine IF you can even fire that low.)

The newer version of the kanger atomizer coil refills seems to be a better design IMO. Whether you use old design (with cotton sticking out) or new ones (with little holes) i recommend you rinse them and blow out old liquid when changing juice. Be sure to fully air dry.

Bottom line... less resistance means changing your wattage (or voltage). You may want to refer to a Safe vaping Power Chart (v3) to find your sweet spot.

(NOTE: there is a sub ohm chart on the web as well. Tread carefully, please.)

Please understand that battery strength/drain, PG/VG ratio, and nicotine level all WILL change your subjective vape experience.
If you want thicker clouds go more VG. If you are looking for better flavor do a 50/50.
Higher wattage means you will likely need less nicotine % as well.

To be honest most vaporers i talk to say they can't tell a difference between a 1.5 and 2.0 , at least not nearly enough of a difference to make a switch . I think coils around 1.8-2.4 both produce a great vape .

If your worried about coil longevity start rebuilding the Kangers , they are easy as pie to recoil but the easiest imo is to use a precoiled and wicked replacement. Fasttech has 50 packs all wicked and coiled for cheap $$ , all you do is pop the head off drop a new one in and put the insulator and pin back in .

Available from around 1.5 to 2.4 , they work very very well.

They are single coil but most say it doesn't matter and many members re wick dual coils with singles and have been for a long time.
