I've been researching the mods for a little bit because i really want to quit smoking. I've been a 1-2 pack a day smoker for almost 20 years, and have tried just about everything. I figure that if I can't give up the nicotine, i can at least give up the smoke. I finally decided to bite the bullet and order the Provape-1 starter kit with the cartomizers. It's quite a bit more than what I wanted to spend (~$100) but the reviews looked good and the website was easy to follow.
To make a long story a little less long, the online ordering system failed and won't let me complete the order.
What would be a good alternative?

The provape uses 14500 batteries, pretty much the smallest of 3.7v batteries.

im assuming you want something small in size..my personal suggestion would be the Alpha from altsmoke.com. looks sexy in chrome, uses the 14500 batteries and can use 6v batteries too if you ever want to try high voltage vaping, which is a major plus. they also have the BB, which offers the same features

As long as you're willing to spend three figures, you ought to get a variable-voltage device for it.

My own hunt for a PV I could settle down with sent me through hundreds of dollars of big name, nice looking fixed-voltage PVs that now collect dust or prevent paper from blowing away with the wind. Only when I discovered VV did my expensive wanderlust evaporate.

There's several out there, most tending toward north of $200 after batteries and chargers are figured into the equation. A more reasonable option, IMHO, is the new Buzz Pro: http://www.notcigs.com/buzz-pro/

It's indestructible, simple to use. I vape with it almost exclusively now.

At the much lower end of the price spectrum, just to start, a basic liberty flights riva 510 kit, with a couple packs of boge 2 ohm cartos would run $50 after the october20 discount code.
Pick up a couple bottles of eliquid at the same time.
Get started vaping for a month or two, then use some of the money saved to buy a mod. The riva would be kept as backup gear. (everyone should have backups).

Since you did alot of research and decided on what you'd be happy with, stick with it and give them a chance.
Use the "contact us" thing and send a quick email- I believe they're reputable, and they'res some just small error involved.
It's easy to get frustrated shopping online, try to forgive them, and get the PV you decided on already.

im a big fan of the provari, and i dont doubt the quality, but i think the provape is quite expensive for a 14500 mod.

the riva is a good choice for a fourth the price, and will vape just the same really as the provape as theyre both 3.7volts.

there are plenty of mods out there though with starter kits at cheaper a price. check out the classifieds here too. plenty of great mods at even cheaper prices

I have and like the e-power. Check hoosierecigsupply or madvapes if you want to check it out. But actually, starting out, I highly recommend having two units, so I recommend an ego kit (or one of the clones). Liberty Flights has good prices on the ego. Then you can add a mod when you're ready and you'll have three units, but it always pays to have a spare or two on hand.

First you need to know why the system could not clear your order, not enought money in the account or their site not working correctly. I would give them a call to see if the problem can be solved. If you are looking at the provape and that covers your needs - you may not be really happy with a different ecig. If it is due to funds, you will need to solve that problem before ordering somewhere else.

money in the account isn't the problem. when i submit the order it sends me to the account login page and won't let me continue. if i go back, it won't let me login. i know that i'm registered because i thought maybe i screwed up the password. they emailed me my password.
once i've made up my mind on something, i tend to get really impatient. and i hate nonfunctioning or difficult to navigate websites. (i know it sounds stupid, but their website is layed out extremely well. a lot of the other companies, not so much. this played a small part in my decision.)

Can you give them a call or post in their subforum?
