Frontally, through a transparent plexi it is possible to view the contents of the package.
On the back Damn Vape reminds us that its Wotan hosts a Mesh Coil Clapton or a Single Mesh Coil, both invested at 360 degrees by the air flow, optimized by different types of diffusers that can be inserted into the coils themselves.
Also on the back we find the various addresses, social icons with links to Damn Vape pages, warnings, logos and brands.

On one side we can see a colored decoration in red-black stripes with the inscription Wotan Mesh Sub Ohm Tank in white, on the other sides the contents of the package, the name of the Brand and a barcode are shown.

Inside the box, the pieces that make up the kit are neatly housed on a double-sided foam surface.

Excluding the diffusers for air regulation on the coil (which we will see later), the Wotan is basically composed of six pieces, it seems at first sight an atomizer with gigantic pre-made heads of traditional and solid workmanship.

The bottom of the Wotan is pleasing to the eye, shows on the outer perimeter the 24 symbols of the Runic alphabet, in the center are engraved the name of the product, the Brand, the disposal logo and the C E trademark.

The 510 thread has a gold-plated pin on the top, fixed and rather protruding.

The top refil designed by Damn Vape for the Wotan is my favorite, to open / close just a rotation of the top-cap with a 1/4 turn. The refueling slots are well sized, watertightness is guaranteed by a large replaceable silicone gasket.

Damn Vape Wotan, the setting for fine-tuning the Air-Flow system has been designed to offer multiple combinations.
There are in fact three different diffusers to be applied to the coils, these diffusers are gold plated and equipped with anti-loss o'ring.
They are precisely inserted into the coil by pressure, to change them just unscrew the base of the atomizer.

Naturally, the four ø2.5mm holes (per side) located on the ring nut provide the main air intake system.

The air flow is channeled and regulated from the outside towards the coil, depending on the diffuser installed the center of the resistance is internally invested in a different way but always at 360 °. Varying in this way airiness and aromatic yield.
The design is brilliant because it takes its cue from the under coil air-pins of some regenerable atomizers for MTL.

Included in the kit are two coils both 0.3Ω, both with a range of use from 75 to 85W, the difference is derived from the resistive material, one is a classic Mesh SS316, the other is a very interesting Clapton-Mesh Ni80 + Kanthal A1

This Damn Vape image illustrates very well what the internal airflow distribution difference would be between a traditional coil and the system designed for the Wotan.

The first (standard) step in the installation procedure of the new coil involves wetting the cotton from above.
The second step is to screw the coil to the top-cap and install the glass.
The third step (after choosing the diffuser) is to tighten the base to the atomizer.

* To allow the absorbent material to completely impregnate with liquid, it is recommended to wait at least 10 minutes before starting to vape.

Final Considerations:
By now the pre-made coils that use Mesh technology, especially in the field of sub-ohm atomizers, have achieved very high performances both in terms of duration and aromatic quality.

One of the criteria for making the performance of these Coils more and more efficient is the development of effective aeration systems, on the largest possible area of the coil, this will probably be everyone's goal and I believe there will be a battle in the near future.

Some houses had already started to insert pyramid-shaped diffuser in their Coils, Damn Vape had the brilliant idea of making these diffuser interchangeable, even providing three of different designs.

My test took place using two 70/30 liquids with concentrated fruity aromas, one with a tropical fruit flavor and one with strawberry and lemon.

Clapton Mesh Coil Ni80 + Kanthal A1:
The good reactivity of this coil allows you to vape with profit already starting from 65W however the best performance coincides with the best declared by Damn Vape (75-85W).

They install the diffuser without restrictions, the aromatic yield is at the level of the best DTL realizations, the puff is open and silent, the production of very high vapor, with this configuration it makes sense to vape with all the holes open to make nice clouds.

Using the more open pyramidal diffuser "which is a middle way" I notice a decrease in the amount of steam emitted, the puff remains silent but more closed, the aromatic consistency improves further, takes consistency and remains longer in the mouth, all are perceived the aromatic notes of my e-liquid fruit.

The third diffuser, the most restrictive, surprised me! As a background sound it emits a slight hiss, not annoying but it is present. The steam emitted is less, but the aromatic quality is truly at the Top! The Puff seems quite restricted even with the maximum opening of the ring with its eight holes of 2.5mm in diameter, but that's not bad, indeed!

I even managed to vape with satisfaction using only two open holes in the main ring.

Mesh Coil SS316:
I liked this Coil even more, it seems to be more reactive and with an even more pronounced aromatic yield.
With the various inserts, the same goes for the previous one, even this one in the face of a slight hiss I prefer to use it with the more restrictive pyramidal insert, the aroma is at the top, it remains even longer in the mouth, amplified to the maximum, a slight percentage of nicotine in the liquid is strong as a punch in the throat! Everything is amplified! Really nice work Damn Vape, congratulations!

For me this Wotan is promoted and I recommend it!
If you use it with the freest insert it makes a steam train and its DTL yield with both coils is good, but above all it is aromatically spectacular with the narrower pyramidal insert.
