creamy flavors vs fruity

I've just been into vaping for a few weeks now, still buying juice at various stores . I'm really enjoying creamy flavors; vanilla, honey, caramel and the like, but I've also picked up some refreshing melon, strawberry/peach, etc. The creamier flavors seem to max out mu tired old smokers lungs at about 8 watts, while the fruitier flavors can go up to 13 watts without discomfort, and with a healthier cloud.
My question: are fruit flavors (POS commercial brands) likelier to have a higher veg content? Or is it that the richness of the creamy flavorings is harder on the throat? Non of the many different brands that I've seen list the VG/PG content

once you get into more powerful devices like the istick 50 or 30 you will see a remarkable diffrence with flavor and vapor production. I vape at 30 watts with my istick 30 on my billow and at 45 watts on my istick 50 with my delta 2 tank. Vista vapors is probably the best darn juice I have ever had and very reasonably priced. I get 12 mg and it satisfies me and I smoked 30 stinkys a day for years! now 0 stinkys and about 10 ml!! lol when you get into the higher watts and lower ohms a whole new world of flavor and vapor opens up. Good luck finding your sweet spot.

Hello and welcome to the forum Captain Twist. Glad to have you here!:)

Purity of PG, VG and PEG - The Short Version

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick.

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Some juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

========

If you like fruit, cream & tea vapes you should consider Ahlusion. They are my go-to vendor to juice (I also dabble in DIY). Peppermint Bark, Lemon Vanilla Cake, Caramel Wild Wood, Caramel Pear Black Tea, Coconut Boba Tea, the list goes on and on! Fan Club here on ECF: Ahlusion E-Juice Part 3. Stop by if you would like to hear about sales, get recommendations, etc. Lots of "die-hard" enthusiastic members there.

I also LOVE Omega Vapes Breeze, Cosmic Fogs Milk & Honey & Ripe Vapes Pear Almond.

Giant Vapes and EJuices are great places to shop when looking to pick up flavors from multiple high quality vendor lines of juice.

Taste being subjective, you'll find that many people vaping have a preferred vendor/flavor/mix for a all day vape (ADV). It's good to switch back and forth from flavors and watts to keep thing fresh. I wouldn't worry about blowing massive amounts of vape as the cloud chasers do if you are getting what you need from what you get. Many on line vendors offer custom mixes (Vape Wild, and Mt Baker for a couple) to where you can order samples at the mix ratio you wish. As stated, higher the PG the better throat hit and flavor vs higher VG more vapor less flavor. I like to run with 65/35 or 50/50 PG/VG blends. Seems to be the best of both worlds. Hope this helps.

Welcome,

Ahlusion, as Susan mentioned, is an excellent brand. If you are on a budget I suggest Vape Wild where you can select your preferred pg/vg ratio. Try the VW Sampler. They send 2 extra bottles with the Sampler. One or 2 extra bottles with individual flavors. You can specify the flavors for the freebies in the Comment section of the order form. Custom made liquids often need to steep 2-4 weeks. Fruits require little steeping. Tobacco and creams need a longer steep to bring out the full flavor.

Good morning, and welcome to ecf! I've found that what I liked when I first started vaping and what I like now are quite different. My taste buds have recovered, and I can taste flavors in higher VG concentration than I could for the first 6 months or so. I also found that I tried about 20 flavors before I found something I really liked across the board (TH, flavor, nic level, etc). If you have a B&M nearby with a juice bar, go there and plan to spend half an hour or so just sampling juices. A knowledgeable owner (and there are some. Really.) can tell you the blend of PG/VG, and can help steer you. Good luck!

I'm using an istick 30 w/ a Kanger Aerotank mega, but anything over 13-14 watts the juice has a burnt taste
That's pretty typical for that tank. It all has to due with the airflow and coil design.

The newer tanks (i.e. the sub-ohm tanks) you can vape at higher wattage without getting burnt taste/dry hits.
