Council of Vapor Defiant Tank - Eh

I just got his little guy yesterday. 22mm, 3.1 ml, "ceramic" coils (in this case as a buffer between the cotton and coil). It's shorter than the Aspire Cleito, which is surprisingly short yet holds 3.5 ml.

I'm going to try to give this thing a few days, but I'm just not digging it. I can run the Atlantis/Triton II .5 ohm or Cleito .4 ohm coils between 32 and 40 watts and have a killer vape with tons of flavor - and no leaking. The Defiant .5 ohm coil struggles to kick in though, so I had to pump the wattage up to between 45 and 55 watts to get a similar vape. So both it and my device get pretty hot and obviously is using up the battery quicker, and you'd think the juice too (which it appears to do), yet the vapor production seems a little lacking. All of that might be acceptable to me expect the flavor is extremely muted. That's the killer for me, extremely muted. Oh and since yesterday it has leaked like crazy twice. That boggles my mind a little because it's not constant. Twice, for no apparent reason, my device and hands were a mess from leaking out of the air intakes. Oh well, I just hope the flavor kicks in.

Well, I'm already giving up on the tank. Flavor is the same and it wiped a fresh 2600 mAh battery way too fast for me. I like the tank, just not the coil. Does anyone know if any of their other coils would fit in this guy?

I got one of these too. Super disappointed in the defiant ceramic coils... Doubt I'll try the other vengeance coils in it. I'm patiently waiting for the .5 gceramic coils that will fit my supertank mini or melo2. The .9 ccell ceramic coils are nice but the draw is stuck somewhere between mouth to lung and lung hit... Hard to get used to. But the lower wattage is nice on those. Unlike the defiant coil the ccell and gceramic coils can be dry fired to clean, making them last a LONG time. *at least I think the gceramic can be, no indication of cotton in them yet. And I think the cotton is the reason for the random leakage we're seeing in the defiant coil.

Yeah I assume so too. Being I have the tank, I found their other coils will work so I'm going to order some .8 coils from the mini out of curiosity.

I want to try out some different settings on this tank when I get it in and see what works best with it. Could you tell me the way you used it so I have a starting point? I see you had it at 45 to 55W, was it in TC or wattage mode? If in TC what were your other settings?

Maybe I should have got more coils with it because I only have two shots to get it right.

Sure thing. I didn't bother with TC mode on these coils at all even though I tried it on three device that were all capable of it. Lower wattage just didn't make that could happy at all. I was most happy at 55 watts but that of course was killing my battery even fast. 45 was the lowest I could go and still be somewhat happy with it's production. Even at 55 though, it didn't perform as well as I would have liked and not matter what I ran it at, the flavor was always muted. I'll also report back after I try the mini's .8 coils in it, even though I know that doesn't help judge these ceramic coils. Good luck with yours.
