I just started using Cotton Bacon V2 switching over from MUJU but ready to just switch back. I have read a million times how great it is and a pure juice taste. The problem I'm encountering is I wicked three RDA's, two on mechs one on a regulated. Then a RTA on a regulated and keep getting a strong cotton taste which is effecting the taste of my juice. juice that was fine with the MUJU so I'm terribly confused what's going on????

I think that just as juices is personal preference, so is wicking. I switched to Cotton Bacon V2 and it works well for me, better than Japanese cotton. I also tried rayon that others swear by, but I didn't care for it. It seems to all just come down to preference.

I didn't care for rayon either and I like the muju cotton. Haven't tried the cotton bacon for fear I wouldn't like it and I hate wasting $$ since I found what works for me.:)

Thanks guys when received the pack had a razor slice in it I guess from when they opened the case. No telling how long it set exposed and was told that's probably why opened the second pack and no problem. The shop owners is replacing the pack that had been exposed and was told once opened put it in a zip lock bag?

A bad batch of cotton? what's that like? o_O

Didn't you ever get a cotton t shirt, and after one wash it was three sizes smaller?

@J.D. Merchant I hope the replacement works out for you. I don't know about storing in a zip loc although that would keep it clean. I usually just have mine sitting in the bottom of my build kit. It works and tastes fine, but maybe I should be storing the same way.

I have a box of Cellucotton, i.e. 100% rayon I'm trying now.
Cellucotton is totally different to wick than cotton. Unlike cotton that expands when juiced so the juice travels in the fiber the cellucotton the juice travels on the outside the fiber so it doesn't expand. You make it tight in the coil then you thin the tails for best juice flow. If wicked right you get no breaking taste. Rayon is great wicking that outlasts cotton, I been using the rayon for over 2 years now and have had great vaping with it. Just don't wick it like cotton, much more tighter in the coil.

Thanks fof the tips. I'll keep using it because even though my wick shrank up and looked pitiful it still worked with no aftertaste. I'm not sure how well it's wicking as I'm using a dripper.

I've yet to try rayon, been reading about it, but still not sold.

Question: what if you'd combine Rayon and cotton together, anyone tried that ? just so that they both balance each other up.

To the OP.. CB v2 user here, have various Japanese cotton too, and I find that as long as it's decent stuff and wicked right, the cotton taste always goes away after a couple of puffs.
