Copper mech mod repair?

Accidentally (whoever does this on purpose?) dropped my SMPL mod bent a tiny part of it at the bottom so I could barely unscrew the switch out. Now I can't thread the switch back in. I was using a magma on it which I was also barely unable to screw. The threads on top are now messed up also because I can't thread any other atty on other than the magma.

I'm going to have to find a way to properly hammer out the bent portion near the switch. What is the best way to try and fix the threads?

Love(d) the mod and the look and feel of copper but I'm gonna stick with SS from now on...

It's going to be tough to get it just right. You might not be able to save it. But I would try too. So...I would start with laying it on a wood block and placing a wooden dowel against the inside where it is bent in. Then tap the wooden dowel to see if the dent starts working out. And if you are fortunate enough to know someone who works in a machine shop then you can ask them to clean up the threads. Good luck.
