I have been reading avidly all the diy recipes and such trying to find one that looks like a winner for adding flavor.

Nuck posted a recipe in the canadian members area 'best attempt tobacco flavor so far' (can't post links yet but want to give credit where it is due) that got me thinking...

I ordered the tobacco absolute and I didn't want to just order that and pay shipping so I added a couple of things to the list like the ethyl maltol and the menthol, then I looked for cloves and found the eugenol so figured what the heck it's only 2 bucks. When I picked the package out of my mail box it smelled slightly like cloves, like it had spilled and I was upset. Opened the package and no leakage but the smell was still there... The container (full like it has never leaked) is sitting on my coffee table, sealed, and has been rinsed and wiped and still smells like cloves... looks promising :D.

I was thinking of diluting it like the tobacco absolute in his recipe 1 drop in 2ml of alcohol (vodka or everclear) then adding a very tiny amount (less then a drop) to a cart with the clove flavor (dekang) that I don't think is quite strong enough. Then mix it by pushing down the filler and fluffing it a few times.

So has anyone tried eugenol yet? If so how did it work? any tips?

Bump.

I will most likely try this next week on some clove juice I have that needs some sprucing up. I will mix 1 drop with 2 ml of vodka, then one drop of that mixture with one ml of clove juice. If it is too strong I will be adding vg to the final product.

I will post the results after I try it, the tobacco absolute done the same way is awesome.

Sorry ment to respond this earlier but been busy. I have not tried eugenol as it is extracted from certain essential oils especially from clove oil, nutmeg, cinnamon, and bay leaf. Clove oil makes up 72-90% of the concentration, but it is the main ingredient in clove ciggies. So it should be an exact match for the clove cig taste. I would use no more than 4 drops per 10ml of ejuice. I think you would be fine starting out as you are one drop of eugenol oil to 40 drops of vodka, and then adding one drop at a time to get the flavor you want.
Let me know how it goes I might have to order some of that.

I bought a large bottle of clove bud oil (Wyndmere Essential Oil from my organic grocery). I just paint the uppermost "ceiling" of the cartridge with a mix of one drop clove bud oil & one drop liquid splenda (because clove oil w/out the sweetness could probably hurl you into tastebud trauma LOL). You can't believe how long the taste of clove lingers with just a single drop. I use clove juice too but if you vape with it habitually you eventually stop tasting it at all. The oil is great, just go easy on it.

Ok you using liquid splenda? Hmmm that would add the sweetness, but what are the long term effects of vaping liquid splenda, what are the ingredients? Anything harmful??
Curious....

I use so little liquid sucralose (well, I also use so little clove bud oil since it can blow your senses out with a drop) that I can't imagine I'm inhaling it. I just mix a drop of clove oil, a drop of liquid sucralose inside a little sealed container I got from a tooth-filling kit. I dip either a toothpick or a tiny paint brush and "paint" the clove oil/sucralose mix onto the top of the cart (inside, out or both). I've done this because I didn't want to get the oil on my atomizer. It's flavor enough without worrying about mixing it with the e-liquid. Clears your sinuses. Mmmm but I love my clove.
