Cloupor Mini Problem

Hi there.

I purchased a Cloupor Mini 30w Mod on January 20th 2015. I have been using it with a Sony VTC5 18650 2500MAH 30A battery and an Aspire Atlantis 0.5Ohm tank. It's been fine up until today. January 25th 2015. A few problems have arisen today, the screen has started flickering. It won't read battery levels anymore and as you hold the fire button it shows the battery levels going up. But more importantly when you hold the fire button. It doesn't fire the tank anymore and no vapour is produced. It fires a tiny bit after around 5-7 seconds. But hardly at all. I've tried changing the battery to the other one I own. An EFest 2000MAH 18650. No changes, still the same problems. I've also tried using other tanks. The Aerotank and Nautilus. Both using 1.5-2.0Ohm coils. Still no change. The problems persist.

Thanks Guys.

The main problem for me is that I bought it from a seller on EBay. Don't know how good they're going to be as their email as to my problem was a bit vague.

I've purchased two Samsung 2500mAh 25R batteries and a Nitecore i2.

Do you think it'll be fine to try one of them batteries in to see if it was a battery fault. As you probably know, there's two small magnets on the device and the back cover and the back cover got stuck to the battery as I accidentally put it on the wrong was around. So I don't know if that could've damaged the battery? So.

I don't know what to do.

The Cloupor Mini 30W VV/VW Mode Box Mod specs show it as having reverse battery protection. If it failed to work properly there is even more reason to return it to the seller. I don't know what the UK eBay policies are but in the U.S. a buyer can request a refund or exchange within an allotted time frame. eBay will enforce this if the seller balks.

Personally, I would be disinclined to bother troubleshooting any further given that a few faulty units have caught fire.

This problem existed in mine and I returned 2 devices for screen sleeping issues where it wouldn't wake up and when the 3rd one messed up it did exactly what you are claiming so I went to the gun club put it down range and used it to site in the new scope for my 308 rifle. I won't purchase another Cloupor product ever after 3 duds and my buddy buying the T8 150 watt and at 150 watts it didn't put out near what my Sigelei 100 plus did with the same atty on it I'm done for sure. Sorry that you are learning this the hard way as did I but I say return it and you would do better to buy an I-stick 30 than another one of those jokes. I stay with Sigelei or KSD products never had any bad luck with them and they are built rugged as hell. I work for the railroad and have a KSD Vamo V7 40 watt tube mod that I carry in a flashlight holder that I have dropped, kicked, and stepped on a time or 2, and even though it is scratched and dinged it works flawlessly. Just don't get one from fasttech because they are selling vamo clones and they are garbage. I purchased mine from a friend that owns his own shop and he buys all his stuff from the manufacturers direct. KSD has no V8 or V9 mods so if you see a vamo v8 or v9 it is a clone. I have a 50watt I-stick ordered and own a Sig 100w plus and the 150 watt and both are fantastic. In closing I have this to say "Cloupor sux it really really sux"!

Phil Busardo received an unsatisfactory response from Clouper regarding the fire issue that has been happening with a few Clouper Minis, Taste Your Juice | Cloupor Mini – Heats… ah I mean… Heads Up. With Cloupor being unwilling or unable to provide any useful information about the fire issue it would probably be best for anyone experiencing issues with their Clouper Mini to return it rather than troubleshoot.

The iStick 30 or IPV Mini will handle .5 Atlantis tanks and both have fairly good reviews. It's been about half and half with the people I know personally as far as the Hana clones working or having issues.

I didn't realise how good the istick 30 is. Just looked it up and it's cheaper than the Cloupor Mini. Has built in Battery. Has wider wattage ranges and goes lower Ohms.

Thanks man. Looks like I'm gonna get one. :p

Thanks for the advice! Definitely gonna try and get a refund and after the advice from the guys above, gonna try and get the iStick 30. :)

So far, EVERY one that has Fried has done so in the first few days of use. I agree this is a Major Defect in the FEW that have failed.
Phil feels Cloupor should do a Recall. 100,000 Units and climbing.
99.5+% of these would test GOOD and as many are being used without issue at this point.

My Advice, if you already own one:
Do NOT leave in Stand by unattended
Do Not Pocket in Stand by
Remove Battery overnight

If you get a Defective unit, IMMEDIATELY contact you Vender and accept no less than replacement or refund.

If your unit last more than a few days to 2 weeks it is most likely NOT one of the effected units.

The only thing that would effect me if one of mine failed would be if the device was not replaced as expected.

* Final thought - New Vapors should think twice before choosing any First release Devices*
Experienced Vapors understand the risk involved in being first in line.
