Hey all! I love the cisco 306 LR 1.5 Ω but recently I have been having issues. I noticed that when I vape sweet dessert flavors (my favorite) the atomizer tends to get really tight and it's very difficult to hit it. I have designated attys for fruit, tobacco, and atomic cinnacide and I have yet to noticed this behavior on any of the other attys. I also have rotated at least 2 or 3 attys out of each flavor catagory and the only flavors that cause this are the dessert ones. I also notice that it seems to happen very randomly. Sometimes it's completely loose and vapes great and then other times its really tight. Any ideas?

I've found that some juices do clog attys. Some also taste burned after vaping them for a while. Some do both. You can usually clear the atty by blowing it out. If that doesn't work an alcohol cleaning might do the trick. I use one vendor that has some really good tasting juice but some flavors just clog my atty. Others from the same vendor don't so it must be the flavorings or sweetener they're using. It's always the sweet flavors that do it.

I forgot to include a couple other things. Usually after I soak it in 91% isopropyl alcohol it has a very tough pull, but not all the time. I've noticed it does it a lot with vaperites organic caramel cream which is 50% but it's still VERY thick. The weird thing is that even when I haven't dripped that juice on the atty (i thought that was the issue so I stopped using it for a week or so) it still does it. There have been a few times where I feel it switch. I'll be taking a drag and then all of the sudden the airflow is greatly restricted. I can honestly say I've never expereienced this with any other atty but the cisco 306 1.5 LR. Also, i debridged 2 of them because I thought the wick had gotten sucked into the airflow or something and it made the problem SUBSTANTIALLY worse. Both debridged and dewicked attys are almost impossible to drag from.

It sounds like there are a couple of things going on here..

1. the sweeter liquids tend to carbonize a lot quicker which will cause the atomizer to not perform as well.
2. the sweeter liquids also tend to thicken a lot quicker when you are vaping..

Both of those processes are greatly accelerated when you use a LR atty because they burn hotter than your standard atomizer.

There are a couple other cleaning options besides alcohol.

1. Using a cola of some sort. Most cola's have a hint of carbonic acid which will eat carbon that is built up on the heating element in your atomizer and also losen up the eLiquid that is in the atomizer.. It has also been known to eat the paint off of some atomizers.

2. denture cleaner, the tablet type. Im not sure how well that way works because I havent tried it myself, but I read about it some where a while back..

I need to start DIYing. Some of my favorite juices are unavialable without a high VG ratio and the VG is killing too many atties for me. I have yet to find a good way to clean gunked up atties from VG. I've tried alcohol, boiling in distilled water, and dry burns with no success. Is it the thickness of the VG that is causing so much trouble on my atties or is it chemicals in the VG? Any ideas on how to clean VG'ed atties?
