i know you can use vodka or everclear, warm water and a q-tip . what else works as i dont keep a supply of anything but good old whisky.
i read a few post about yellow listerine but it still wasnt clear if it worked and how to get the mothwash flavor out after soaking in it?

also what is a dry burn?

thank you

i use 99% iso alcohol to clean stuff, even soak drippers and fill bottles with it to kill old flavors. just be very very sure to clean/rinse it all out and/or let dry before using, dont want to be vaping pure iso.

also what is a dry burn?

its where you fire the atomizer when its dry, not alot just pulse it a few times to make the coils glow, this burns off the old gunk and residue, any type head where you can get access to the coil can be dryburned. i usually heat it up a couple times and blow the crap off, rinse the coil/wick and keep going.

what would you like to do this too?

the protank/ evods can be dryburned if you pop off the metal tube from the base part exposing the coils. there are also many tutorials on how to rebuild these heads yourself, something to look into.

the iclear should just be pop the white rubber piece off the top and you can see the coil down in there just burn it a couple times and rinse.

iclear dual coil head just for example.

When i wash stuff - tap water and toilet paper. Usually i just dry burn between flavors though. A proper dry burn is when the glowing coil is the only thing thats left, no sizzling, no smoke/vapor coming off the wick, clean. Don't be scared to break the coil either - burn lenght doesn't matter, they only break when they reach near their melting temp which in most attys they wont. A half assed dry burn will only break down vg/pg halfway resulting in smelly and somewhat toxic stuff, if you're going to burn it, burn it all the way!

Um... I first start the faucet for hot water. I then take the mouth tip off of the clearomizer, Pour the old juice out of the clearomizer down the same sink that the hot water is running into. Unscrew the tank from the metal tube carefully. If not then you are gonna break the 2 O rings and then the metal shaft is no longer any use. You can not by O rings for these. Not even in a hardware store.

Anyway with the atomizer still connected to the metal shaft, hold the metal shaft at the base and then let the hot water run over the atomizer (turning it slowly and often) for about 3 mins. Take the atomizer off and set both atomizer and metal shaft on a paper towel in a cool dry place to dry for about 24 hrs. But before you let the Metal Shaft dry take a pipe cleaner and insert it into the bottom where it screws into the battery and turn the shaft on it. This will clean out any gunk inside the shaft.

I have a total of 6 Tubes with 12 atomizers. These are the same atomizers that I got when I first started 2.5 months ago. I clean my tubes and atomizers once a week. I have never experienced and burnt taste and each time I clean its still a nice fresh hit.

Whiskey, Vodka, Everclear, and or just plain ole alcohol will eventually break down the components in that little coil that is wrapped around the wicks and will eventually start causing the chrome on the metal shaft to start breaking down and flaking off not to mention breaking down all of the seals, O rings and rubber cap on the Atomizer.

Just a thought.

I read the isoprop alcohol breaks down the orings and the rubber plug on the bottom of the head, so I don't use it at all but to clean juice residue off the outside and the metal after I removed the coil. I've never soaked any parts at all, what I do is fill a tupperware with hottest water and use tweezers to hold the head and then blot off with paper towel. For the dryburning...youtube has many ways of doing it but you have to find which way works best for you. I rarely have a protank head I've either cleaned or rebuilt leak, the leaky ones are when I get the use out of the stock head before I rebuild it. IMO the kanger protank and T3's are a good value since I've not had anything go wrong with them and I still using the origionals I bought a long while back.

Ok. So what would you recommend when cleaning an iclear 16 with all those wicks, between flavors? Wash in warm water and dry burn? Or can I just refill and vape if I am going with a similar flavor? This is my first tank with top side wicks.

I tried to search this out but got a bunch of different returns that didn't help, so thanks in advance for helping.

i dont see why a normal dry burn and rinse wouldnt work on the dual heads.
