I have a lime flavoring that I like, but (at 5 volts at least) I find that it gets a "burned" taste after the first few vapes. Happens with an eGo too, but not as quickly.

Is this normal for citrus flavors? Is there a solution to the problem?

This doesn't happen with other flavors (so far). So it's not the atty, nor the device per se. Happens before it is low/dry so it's hard to keep it filled without flooding it.

FYI: 5 volts, AA box mod, 3.0 ohm joye atty.

All burning, imho, has always been a wicking issue. If your using super thick VG it can wick really slow depending if it has PGA in it or not. VG is usually not such a concern with attys, definately a concern with cartos. In reference to dripping, dripping really is an art form. hard to keep enough juice in an atty to keep it wicking, but not flood it. Amount of VG in the mix will make dripping interesting as well, because you put enough in to vape, but it moves so slow to the coil that you bet a burn taste. Then you add more and flood it.

I have been a lime and lemon fan, and have experienced what you are also. I try to use the citrus on my ego batteries with 2.6 or greater ohms. 5v seems to give it the flavor of hot lemonade, limeade, OK for tobacco or menthol, citrus not so much. I DIY 50/50 VG/PG, most of my citrus and have found less flavor works better, just a light hint of lemon, not a pucker up lemonade.
