Ok, I've managed to quit smoking and switch to vaping about 5-6 months ago. Unfortunately just a little while ago I bit the dust and took a few drags from my roommate's cig cause my tank had broken on my set up :( and I got a huge nic buzz and to be honest for some reason I kinda miss that feeling. But what I really want to know is why is there such a huge buzz difference between smoking and vaping? I currently vape 1.5 mg nic and dont get a buzz anymore and when I took a few drags off that cigarette I felt like my head was floating away from my body lol

between here and there
It is unlikely you will get that cig buzz with an ecig. It is really the lack of oxygen in your brain that creates that since the smoke inhaled replaces the normal oxygen intake. Since the nic from vaping is absorbed through the muscous membranes and not the lungs is the likely reason. Altho, if you increase your nic strength in vaping you may get something of a rush right before feeling nic sick.

The buzz from the cigarette is a combination of..on the one hand, the natural nicotine and alkaloids in the tobacco, and on the other, the concoction of chemicals that's added to the tobacco by BT. Its much more potent when combusted. The chemicals are added by BT to enhance that buzz and get to you addicted.
You can get a milder buzz and the satisfaction a cigarette gives, from a well made WTA. Its milder because its the natural nic/alkaloid combination without additives. Aroma WTA is the only one that gives me that buzz.

Reason you don't get the same instant "buzz" from ecigs as you do a real ciggy is simple

ciggys have a multitude of added chemicals to help keep you addicted and spending more money
the main chemical they add to create the buzz is good ol ammonia, yuup thats right
it attches itself to the nic molecules which makes it absorb into the your lung tissue 50 times faster, therefor giving you instant buzz and gratification
scary chit eh

Very well said. I wanted to add the ammonia/nicotine in my response, but i'm a bit hampered by the English language (I sometimes over elaborate, and still don't get to say what I wanted)...but yes that's what BT does to maximize nicotine absorbtion. The ammonium turborises the nicotine, to create that buzz....
Scary stuff indeed !!!

Grow up.... vaping isn't about getting a buzz.... something cigarettes never did for me.. well not tbe ones we discuss here. At least.....

As an 40 year smoker I'm more likely to get buzzy from NOT using nicotine than via usage.

This is also the Reason why Many People struggle quitting Cigarettes with an e-Cigarette even when they are taking in the Same (or even More) Nicotine as when they Smoked.

I DIY at 18 mg/ml nic salts and sometimes also use WTA. Never got a buzz.

I strongly believe it's a multitude of things but honestly, I think the main contributors were lack of oxygen to the brain and carbon monoxide.

I really didn't get a nicotine buzz very much, EVER after 18 months of being totally nic free, it really only happened once or twice. That buzz (for me at least) is not SUSTAINABLE. When I think about 3 ppd I kind of shudder to think what I did to my brain.

I have never gotten a head rush from vaping. I'd say it's NOT impossible, but really I get satiation and that's all I need.

It kind of makes me wonder if death by carbon monoxide is a good way to go, but most of the "fails" I've encountered (you'd be surprised at the number actually) stated they woke up feeling like death, with a MASSIVE headache.

Carbon monoxide: Not worth the rush in my humble opinion.
