It will pass, freaking out about it will raise your anxiety level which will make everything seem worse.
Drink some water & lie down.
Most likely a symptom of the nicotine in a body that is not accustom to it.
Guess you've learned a lesson, don't try stuff you know nothing about, some 'friends' actually are not.

It was nicotine free.

USA. State: Inebriated.
A dry hit?

A hit with no liquid where you're just burning the wick. You'd know because it would taste repulsive and you'd probably cough. The "effects" wouldn't last long though.

... Maybe I'm the odd man out here for thinking this, but are we all sure this was an e-cigarette, and not a "vaporizer" for some other less-legal purpose?

Lastly: We're not doctors. I haven't encountered a single MD on this forum. Go to a doctor if your symptoms persist. Or even if they don't, ...., we don't know, because we're not doctors.

I tried my friends vape at college and I started getting chest pains and a fast heart beat it's been 40 minutes and it still hurts. I don't smoke and I'm worried.
Any ideas?
As a non-smoker, please do not vape anymore. Your symptoms may be the result of first-time intake of nicotine. While vaping is MUCH safer than smoking, you are still ingesting a foreign substance, even without nicotine. Better avoiding tobacco and vaping.

If you don't smoke a Mod isn't exactly the way to go. Say an ego battery and clearomizer. And yes depending of the blend of e liquid. High VG content could sure do that. But above all; be careful and easy does it. Kinda like going to the Gym for the first time. You just don't leap in there or you'll get hurt and not wish to return.;)

So, let me see if I have this straight. You don't smoke yet for some reason you tried a friends vapor product. You had an adverse, possibly life-threatening, reaction to said vapor product. Instead of seeking medical attention you, somehow, found this site. You registered to post here and asked for unqualified medical advice from laymen. In the three or so hours since you registered you are still having this adverse reaction and haven't sought qualified medical attention. But you did see fit to set up a profile that includes an avatar image.

1st: Seek medical attention immediately!
2nd: Are you a robot?
