Chasing that perfect grape. I need some help.

So, I've been chasing the perfect grape juice recipe for a little bit. I've been digging a grape juice that I get at my local B&M and while I don't expect the guys to give up their recipe, they did tell me that it's nothing special but it is two different grape flavorings in the mix.

So, I've already eliminated LorAnn as a potential because it's so heavy on coloring and their juice is clear. Also, it finishes like grape soda. So I guess, do any of you know 2 different grape flavorings that are clear or at least almost colorless? Any of the qualities I've described?

FW grape is colorless and has a 'candy' aspect to it. I would start there. Some companies that I thought might have a good grape but never tried - Inawera, VZ, Hangsen.

I just ordered the Inawera Grape. I have high hopes.

The Hangsen Grape was okay nothing special.

Thanks. Good place to start with the candy aspect. Now, I need the soda aspect. I'd imagine if someone knew of one that finishes like Welch's or NuGrape that's where I would head next.

Good call on TFA too. Maybe I'll add them to my next MFS order. It's not like I'll never use them if I don't like to vape them. Candy is one of my next favorite things and grape is always a welcome addition to those recipes. Been meaning to try my hand at hard candy anyway. That's where I think the LorAnn will shine.

Jimi D, after trolling the recipes forum last night, I've decided that I'm giving your recipes for strawberry bubblegum and grape bubblegum a shot. I think, at least from what I read, are right up my alley in terms of the kinds of things I like. Just gotta pick up a few more supplies to have everything.

I would try 13% cappellas grape, 8% grape juice (TFA) The cappellas is a much lighter flavor than the tfa, therefor the off ratio.

Out of the flavors I have on hand, I would try Tfa Grape Candy, Tfa grape juice and Tfa champagne.
Split the candy and juice about half and half and just a couple % champagne.
Like 6/6/2%
Add about 2-4 drops sweetener per 10ml.

Im gonna throw a little something odd here to try if you have it.
I was just vaping away on some tfa pomegranate and really got some Welches grape juice notes with it.
I may try this out.
6% grape juice
5% grape candy
2% champagne
1% pomegranate
All tfa
May get a chance to mix it up tomorrow.
Will report back.

If the colors on the TFA Grapes are clear or nearly colorless then it sounds almost perfect.

I use LA naturals mixed with TFA candy. The LA is a true grape with actual grape coloring but lacks the candy aspect. Sometimes sweetner is not so desired so mixing the two works. I can just about drink this flavor and i actually have added it to water minus the nic of course. Its no jolly rancher but its good enough and adding cola makes a good grape soda.
