Hey guys

I just purchased an IPV6x and a Cleito tank two days ago and I have been vaping a milk + custard flavor (mother's milk, they call it) and I want to try something else. I'll be buying a watermelon flavor today and I was wondering if I'll need to replace the coil after only two days of usage? None of the flavors have mint as far as I am concerned so I am assuming I can just use the same coil?

I don't have an RTA coil yet so I'm using the standard ones that came with the tank.

Should I just clean the tank, as in the glass part, let it dry out, then refill it with the new flavor and let it sit for 10 minutes then start vaping?

Thank you for your info.

With a factory coil and the flavors are not total opposites, I'd wash the tank out, put a few drops of the new juice on the original coil (no, don't wash the coil, I just wipe it down with a paper towel to get the excess old juice off), refill with your new juice, and vape. The old flavor should be gone with several puffs, and the new juice should then be fine. If the flavors are similar, some folks will just vape the tank down, then refill with the new juice, and be OK after several puffs as well.

That's what I did and everything went fine. The new flavor came in after around three or four puffs exactly. Thank you for your advice.

Was curious how you like the watermelon flavor Tarek. I am exploring the fruity and sweet flavors, Honeydew is one of my favorites in that group. Have not yet tried watermelon.

@tckenno I like it quite a lot. I've always been a fan of milk and custard products and I didn't really vape a lot of fruity flavors in the past, but they're definitely growing on me. It has a very light texture but the flavor itself is really strong and recognizable. I believe it's a mixture of watermelon and melon and it gives a satisfying cool, summer taste. If you're into hot liquids, this is definitely not for you because it is a cooler one.

I also tried an Almond Milk liquid from a friend of mine and I really love it and will be buying one to mix it with my Custard Milk liquid. Keep in mind, though, all the liquids I am talking about are DIY because we barely receive any imported eliquids in Egypt anymore because of the shortage in foreign currencies.

That is exactly what I like about the Honeydew Tarek. It is one of the few fruits I have found that works well as a stand-alone and is very recognizable. Many of the fruit recipes are flavor combinations and all I taste is some variation of 'fruity'. Especially with citrus and berry flavors. Yes I am a DIY apprentice, but I can follow a recipe and have not been impressed by most I've mixed.

Recently tried a Candy Cane recipe that I like. Recipe has a bit of dulce de leche and vanilla swirl which gives it more a soft peppermint rather than a hard mint flavor. Has a nice after-taste too. A bit of your almond milk together with a mint might make something similar if that sounds interesting to you.

@tckenno I like experimenting with different mixtures but I've never really attempted a DIY yet, although I believe it is going to happen soon as I don't like vaping the same flavor for more than two days.

After vaping the almond milk flavor for a day, I realized it is best when mixed with other flavors like custard, but on its own it just becomes bland after a while.

I have been vaping milk and fruity flavors for about a week and a half now so I believe I am going to need a mint one soon in order to change things up. I used to vape quite a lot last year and before I quit, I reached this stage where I just couldn't taste any non-mint flavors anymore, I believe there's a name for it but I don't really remember it, and part of it was also a lack of proper hydration but I believe I know better now.

A friend of mine called me up and told me there's a whiskey liquid coming out soon and I am very tempted to try it, and if there was anything resembling the taste of a Jack Daniel's Honey, I would most certainly buy it. :D

there is a canuck(Canadian) brand called 12 monkeys... they have a flavour you two might be interested in trying to make to your own taste, sa it's not a sweet one. it's called kanzi. it's strawberry, watermelon, and kiwi... tart and refreshing, part of the time I will mix with a peach juice to get the occasional sweet/tart combo... and cream of some sort would top it off I think.

I think mixing and altering pre-made juices is a good way to go Tarek. Easy, no waste, no initial investment in mixing gear. One suggestion, get a large bottle of unflavored in your pg/vg/nic ratio. It’s always vapeable as is, but will come in handy as you experiment. Also good to dilute store bought by a quarter, third, even by half. Most vape just fine cut back, those over-flavored actually improve. It will not go to waste.

That kanzi sounds like an interesting combination Cheallaigh. Which do you sense most of the tartness coming from?
Peach is another fruit I have struggled with. Not a real stand alone, for me anyway, but seems to dominate the other flavors with it. Tried with pear and didn't like what I would call musty or musky (not Muskie) flavor.
Do you know other vapers up there in the GWN?

I bought a hazelnut cheesecake liquid and I really like it, but it's not going to be a daily driver for me. What I like about it is that even though it has a cheesecake flavor, the hazelnut one is stronger so it's not too sweet and tastes just right.

I have not vaped any kiwi flavors but I am definitely going to check that out because it sounds interesting and I am a big fan of fruity liquids.

When I just started vaping and getting myself into the rebuild world I would ALWAYS rebuild / clean / rewick whenever I put in a new bottle of juice.

9 months later I've gotten lazier. I rewick if its a very different flavor OR if my cotton is beginning to taste funky. The prebuilt claptons I have in my daily vape has been through more than 300ml of juice...

The point is its really up to the user as to when to rewick / rebuild / clean. There really isn't a general rule of thumb OTHER than the taste test.

FYI, even if you don't clean / rewick, the old flavor will usually dissipate after a tank or so of the new one.
