Hello all,

1- Just a noobie question: People are telling that they are using high nicotine stuff to get throat hit. On the other hand the seller's websites are telling that 6-8 mg cartridges are equivalent to Marlboro lights. However, I won't get the throat hit with them. If I need a high nic cart or liquid to get a Marlboro lights hit (and maybe flavor) it won't be really healthy for me, will it?

2 - Another thing is which cart and/or liquid has the closest flavor/taste and throat hit to Marlboro lights. I do not like menthol, sweet (chocolate, vanilla, candy, caramel or whatsoever) flavors. Isn't it possible to get the exact same taste/flavor of the analog?

Thanks in advance...

I smoke marlboro lights, and I use 24mg carts.. the tobacco ones etc.. the stock ones do the trick

so far my personal favorite though is 24mg cappucino, nice flavor to it but if you are just happy with marlboro lights I would say just the stock tobacco ones would be good, hope this helps a little I'm sure you'll get more responses later

I've had a couple of analogs since I've been vaping about a week now, and you won't get that smoke taste that you get from a cigarette at least nothing I've found yet anyway

Nothing is going to taste exactly the same. Every flavor that I know of has at least a hint of sweet to it, because PG its self has a sweet taste. It's not a bad sweet, but it will NOT taste like a cigarette. I smoked Marlboro lights for a long time, and honestly, vaping taste much better, especially after a couple of days. You just can't replicate that burnt taste with something thats not burning.

24mg will probably give you about the closest throat hit to a Marlboro light IMO. Asking if it will be healthy for you while you are smoking analogs is a joke right? It will be much HEALTHIER for you. Whether or not thats the mg you need depends on how much you smoke, and how your body handles nicotine. My mother smoked about 4 packs a day and she is fine with 24mg, but I smoked 2 packs a day and have to have 36mg, although 24 is a good place to start.

If you choose to vape, and trust all of it when we say it's much better, you have to do so with the mindset that it is NOT smoking. You can't make it exactly like smoking. It's an alternative, healthier way to get the nicotine that you are addicted to.

IMO there's not a liquid out there that tastes like a cigarette of any kind. You sort of just have to bite the bullet and accept the fact that vaping is completely different from smoking.

There are some tobacco flavors out there, but most of them have a sweet taste rather than a true smoke flavor.

After trying a ton of juices, everything from cotton candy to cigar, I've pretty much settled on two main liquids that I order in 60ml's. It's hit or miss when you first start.

Marlboro lights? You might want to consider a non-flavored juice as it's more or less the same as a light. =P

Kidding aside, it's very tough to find a tobacco flavor that's actually what you want. Hell, I'd pay $1/mL if I could find an accurate flavor for Marlboro 27's, but there's no way in hell I can find that. As a light smoker, you're going to find it hard to enjoy the taste of most tobacco flavors. Most of them are made to mimic full flavor cigarettes, a job they do very poorly (imho), I can't imagine them actually getting a good Marlboro light flavor.

My suggestions:
1) If you do find a tobacco flavor you like, try getting it in extra high nic and cut it with PG. That way you'll diminish some of the flavor by the time you reach your desired nic level and the tobacco flavor won't be more overpowering than it was when you were on analogs.

2) Try different flavors! Seriously, this should be my #1 suggestion, but I'm picking your side here. You might find out that you LOVE RY4, 555, or a liquor flavor. You might fall in love and completely abandon your ideas of finding a suitable tobacco flavor. (I know I have...)

You might also want to increase your nic levels, 6-8 mg is ridiculously low. I don't even think it's strong enough to get a middle school kid addicted to it, never mind suiting a previous smoker. I find 24 mg to be a good nic level for me and I smoked very little compared to most people on these forums. I'd suggest trying 18 mg and judging from there.

A good way to measure it is to drip. 2-3 drops in the atty is roughly a cigarette. Granted, there's more nicotine present there than in a cigarette, but you don't absorb it as readily as you do as if it were in a cigarette. On top of that, there's no MAOIs in this, so you won't get the same rush you did when you smoked the first analog of the day as often.

I found that Parliament is non-sweet - and maybe Winston.

I do think that your 6-8 mg carts are far too weak if you're still in the early stages of vaping. They must taste like air. That wouldn't have worked for me, I'm sure.

To me, most of the tobacco flavors taste more like an unlit cig. I smoked Marlboros for the better part of 40 years, and Marlboro Mediums for the past 10 years or so. I haven't found a liquid or cartomizer that quite replicates the flavor. I've only been vaping for a little over 2 weeks, but have taken to 555 for a tobacco flavor (to me it's smooth and slightly sweet), but have really started to favor non-tobacco flavors like coffee, cherry and pear. I figure this is a good opportunity to explore flavors that don't taste as much like old socks ;-)

Thank you for all your advices. So, I should try hig nic (24 mg is a good one to start) with some flavors and see what I am going to like. I think I am going to start with the ones which you told as non sweet, Winston, Parliament, and Dunhill.

Where should I buy these from? Which are the top quality ones?

Thanks...

You got lots of good advice here. You should definately go with at least a 24 mg juice. Check out the site litecigusa.net. My husband and I were both MB light smokers. He was a 2+ pack a day guy. We originally got the prefilled carts that were only 11 mg. No way was it enough nicotine to make us not still want the analogs. Nothing will taste the same, but the important part is to try to get off of the analogs. The USA mix from litecig is supposed to taste like MB - but you have to get the strong level. Do yourself a favor and try some of the flavors too. It is cheap (less than $5) to get a 10ml bottle. That is cheaper than 1 pack of analogs! My husband likes the chocolate and I never thought he would like any of the flavors. You will be surprised! Rocky mountain vapor has lots of choices too. They all have a selection that is supposed to mimic MB's. Try a couple different sites - see who gets it to you quick and cheap. Believe me , there is lots to learn! ;)

Dunhill and Winston are very close to the original thing. Hilton and Kent are good as well but do have a bit of the sweet taste to them.

I switched from the MarB to those to get away from the 'sweet' taste.

$0.02

Ditto that. Winston is my favorite. I smoked lights and 12mg is my strength of choice. But it's how you vape, too. I like a good long vape. If you want a shorter vape 18-24mg would do the trick. At that level I'd only be able to vape about 10 times before I'd had enough. I kind of like to take a chance to enjoy the flavor. Half the reason I smoked was to get away from it all for just a few f'ing minutes! I kind of like to have a reason to just walk out of the room or step away from my desk.

P.S. That's my $0.03. Shipping and handling included, of course.
P.P.S. I'll be trying Kent really soon. Apparently I could use a little more sweetness in my life.

I'm relatively new as well. My favorite throat hit vape so far was the "Tobacco" 24mg that I got with my order of my 510 from Cignot.com. It is sweeter than a cig, but IMO has a smooth, good flavor and decent hit. My second favorite so far is the menthol from Rockymountainvapor.com. I know you said you don't like menthol, and neither did I, but it's not like a menthol cig. It's "fresh" tasting, and hit is pretty good with the menthol flavors. Both sites have GREAT service. RMV even does free shipping for orders over $14. Either site, you can ask them questions and they are very happy to help you.

One of the first liquids I loved was 555 or as some sellers call it State Express.
I am still vaping it among others over a year later so it cant be bad.
It does have a slight sweet edge but is not sickly .

Best to only order small 5ml & 10ml bottles of stuff to begin with sooner or later you will find one that hits the spot.

Your taste buds will change after a few weeks or for some days, so dont write off all the liquid you try in the beginning put it away and next month it may turn in to your favourite.

Kent's one that I've been wanting to try. I remember WV2WIN saying it was about as close as you could get to the real thing.

Where did you find it?
