Hopefully it'll get stronger with steeping. I know the TFA Caramel Capp does. At one drop per 5 ml it just has a faint hint of coffe but after about 3 weeks of steep time it's quite good.
The above recipe on the Capp with the Dulce de Leche got me wanting to try some thing similar so here's what I mixed up.
TFA Caramel Cappuccino .5%
TFA Sweet Cream 2%
TFA Sweetener .5%
Inawere Dulce de Leche 2%
Shake and vape tasted like a really weak coffee with milk in it. I've got my hopes up for it though. I'll try it again in a couple of weeks to see how it's coming along.
I think the long steep times are for the birds, personally; if it doesn't taste good when I mix it, it's probably not ever going to, or I'm not going to be patient enough to find out. I like the technique of using combined flavorings up to 25%-30% so it actually has some flavor right off the bat; if it gets better after a little while, great, but I can't just sit around waiting when I need something to vape. I'm not one to make up large portions of anything; I did that with my original ADV Virginia, and I still have some of that, now about 5 months old, sitting in the cabinet, which I may or may not ever vape. My tastebuds are changing too fast and too radically to make a large portion of something and think I'll still like it weeks or months down the road. For now, I think the largest quantity I should make of ANYTHING is maybe 30ml, maybe 60ml of something I decide is really great, but no more than that.
What I ended up with, last night, with the cappucino, was this:
Inawera cappucino 5%
Capella sweet cream 10%
TFA french vanilla creme 5%
TFA sweetener 5%
1 drop Inawera Virginia TA (in a 5ml portion)
It wasn't bad, but I think the vanilla is a bit too strong. I'm thinking of adding a bit of chocolate, to compensate for the strength of the vanilla taste -- that TFA french vanilla creme is very good, but very strong. What I'm really seeking is something that tastes good while I'm drinking cocoa or mocha cocoa, so a bit of chocolate would probably make it just right.
So, maybe something like this -- I guess it could be called "mocha cappucino":
Inawera cappucino 5%
Capella sweet cream 10%
TFA french vanilla creme 3%
TFA milk chocolate 2%
TFA double chocolate - dark 2%
TFA sweetener 5%
1 drop Inawera Virginia TA (in a 5ml portion -- 2 drops in 10ml -- basically about 1%)
The TA adds a light smoky touch. I'm sure other mfr's flavors could be substituted, but these are the ones that I have right now. The combination comes to 28% flavoring, so it should taste good -- at least vapable -- right off the bat. It's pretty sweet, with 5% sweetener, so others might like it less sweet.
