I sent back my Joye 510-t for in store credit at MVS, going to be purchasing an iClear30, and possibly an iClear 30b. I would like to know, what do I need to do to have smooth sailing with this product (iClear 30)? I would like to get good clouds, good taste, as smoothly as possible, but I read of a bad taste with these units. Do I need to boil any part of the system in water?

I have a couple of 30bs, but I almost never use them. They seem to be very finicky with the stock coils and have a tendency to behave perfectly for an hour and then to leak and gurgle. They're also ridiculously heavy for not being glass :p But ymmv of course!

I hear alot of good things about iClears and I really need something that will work. I'm trying to vape 100% VG juice.

Of the I clear 30's my favorites are the 30b's to me they produced better flavor the 30's tasted too chemically to me the reg didn't wick up good with thicker liquids just my opinions I also use none of these tanks now. I use aero tanks, an IBTanked carto, a hyper tank and the aspire bdc all are better to me personally.

I have a Kanger Mini 2 and it sucks. I cleaned it when I got it and everything tastes burnt in it. I changed heads and it's the same thing. I wish I never bought it. IMO The iClear 30B is where it's at. Effortless draw, great flavor, and long lasting heads. I have an iClear 30 too and I wouldn't recommend them at all.

I'm quite tired of every piece having completely different reviews on it, these things are mass produced, how can they vary so much? That being said, I would much rather have the glue free, glass tank of the mini Protank 2 and most of what I read about it is highly positive and that it is better than the full size Protank 2. Enough of being put off by bad reviews and time to try for myself, just waiting on my in store credit at Myvaporstore to go through.

My Kanger PT2's are wonderful with rebuilt coils wicked with cotton. I use them a lot. I prefer the Iclear 30s over the 30. The 30s is essentially bullet proof, but it doesn't have a glass tank. Other than that, the coils last forever, good vape, good flavor, never leaks. The coils are a bit spendy, but I get upwards of a month on them. If I am out and about, there is a 30s on my VTR. Oh yeah, the regular 30 is a juice hog, the 30s, not as bad.

How do you rewick with cotton if cotton is flammable? Wouldn't you be inhaling cotton?

You cannot dry burn cotton. I use 30ga kanthal A-1, 8 wraps on a 16ga needle (5/64 drill bit). Get the wraps as close together as you can, touching, if possible. Remove the coil from the drill bit, compress it with tweezers, and torch it (or use a lighter) so it glows for 10 seconds. Let it cool. Put it back on the drill bit, insert it into the head and terminate the negative and positive leads.

Thread the coil with a wisp of rolled up cotton from an organic cotton ball. You should feel a slight resistance from the cotton in the coil as you pull it through. Snip the ends flush with the flange at the bottom of the head. Now, put a couple of drops of e-liquid on the coil and cotton to wet it. Roll up a small piece of cotton as a flavor wick, place it on top of the coil, wet it as well with e-juice. Replace the chimney over the coil, making sure it is seated well.

Fill your tank, screw in the head, and let it soak for a few minutes. Take a couple of hits without firing your device, then vape away! If you start getting bad taste or flooding, remove the head, expose the coil, remove the old cotton with tweezers. Dry burn the coil, rinse it, dry burn it again to dry it, then rewick it with more cotton.

Hope this helps...Good luck!

Next to their mods Innokin heads are absolutely terrible. I had an iClear 30B and iClear 30 and gave it away within 5 hours. Absolute garbage for tanks.

Eh, I avoided the 30b for a reason; BCC clearos are problematic enough without introducing a larger tank, and another coil. The 30 is so-so, not great, not horrible. It is better, believe it or not using the 16 heads. The 30s is where it's at as far as top coils go, IMHO. Absolutely trouble free, doesn't leak, vapes great, great flavor, and the heads last forever. I have a 30s that I vape strawberry in that is going on 6 weeks, and close to 40ml of juice. It doesn't get much better than that.

Changed my mind I think I'm going to go with a mini protank 2 and pray that it wicks up on my VCV VG juice. I'm thinking that the rebuildable Kangertech heads will allow me to delve into building my own should I ever want to try that out, and also read that the unit performs well.

My favorite tanks are Protank 2. But some systems I have they don't fit very well. Easy to clean. Easy to build. You can buy all the seals when they wear out from rebuilding. I added Kanger adjustable Airflow control valves to all mine and makes them a lot better. Best part is they are under $25. and $4.95 for aircontrol valve.
