I take it that filing down a button top to fit my VTR would be akin to trying to disarm a nuclear missle? IOW a very bad idea?

Zoi, I don't think that a larger charger will shorten the battery or enlarge the battery chamber in the VTR.![]()
Nope, Don't think it will either.
Perhaps buying a Charger that Excepts Longer Batteries is a Better Option than Modifying what the OP Has?
That is what I was Say'n in Post #9
But the OP's problem is some (most? all?) button top batteries don't fit the Innokin VTR. Something I've run into.
The solution is: put the file away and buy flat top batteries. They're much cheaper than ambulance rides and ER visits...

Agreed. Filing down Batteries is a Very Bad Call. I don't think Anyone Suggested he do That.
Disregard the Last Post.
I understand what is Going On now. Button Top Batteries don't fit in his MOD.
Now I get it.
Then Yeah... Flat Tops sound like the Way to Go.
The OP isn't having trouble with his charger. The longer battery wont fit in his VTR (mod).
I've read that many button top don't fit their VTR's but as I stated earlier I've had no trouble with mine fitting.
It's not a problem with the OP's charger.... It will not fit in the >VTR<
