I take it that filing down a button top to fit my VTR would be akin to trying to disarm a nuclear missle? IOW a very bad idea?

Hm... more like trying to disarm a nuke by beating on it with a hammer. Probably nothing would happen but if it goes bad, it will be very, very, very bad.

In short: don't do that!

Zoi, I don't think that a larger charger will shorten the battery or enlarge the battery chamber in the VTR. :D

Nope, Don't think it will either.

Perhaps buying a Charger that Excepts Longer batteries is a Better Option than Modifying what the OP Has?

That is what I was Say'n in Post #9

But the OP's problem is some (most? all?) button top batteries don't fit the Innokin VTR. Something I've run into.

The solution is: put the file away and buy flat top batteries. They're much cheaper than ambulance rides and ER visits...

Agreed. Filing down Batteries is a Very Bad Call. I don't think Anyone Suggested he do That.

Disregard the Last Post.

I understand what is Going On now. Button Top Batteries don't fit in his MOD.

Now I get it.

Then Yeah... Flat Tops sound like the Way to Go.

The OP isn't having trouble with his charger. The longer battery wont fit in his VTR (mod).

I've read that many button top don't fit their VTR's but as I stated earlier I've had no trouble with mine fitting.

I wouldn't do this if I was you
efest batteries fit the VTR nicely. A lot have had trouble fitting this out with batteries. I'm glad I ticked the box 'Add 2xbattery' when I bought mine.

Perhaps start a thread inquiring "Which batteries are confirmed to fit the VTR mod?"

I've seen this issue happening a lot over the last few months, that some batteries fit and others don't. I don't own a VTR and have no vested interest. Now if actual owners could state which batteries DO FIT, then we all have a resource list to go to.

I read that Grimm Green had some Efest batteries which would NOT fit the VTR. Efest makes several 18650 models, so apparently some do fit and others do not.
