I’m new to vaping, just over 2 months, now. I have noticed that if I don’t smoke analogs and only vape, my tongue starts to feel burned on the end. I’m not a chain vaper and just recently quit the analogs, but don’t care for the burnt tongue. I’m not sure why this is happening.

Has anyone else experienced this condition? (I have a 510 and use reg. cartridges with Pepsi Flavoring or 555).

Comments welcome.:p

Burnt tongue is usually a sign of a dry atomizer. Make sure the you keep the atomizer wick wet by ensuring that your cartridge filler is contacting it properly. If you are using the standard fiberfill that comes in a 510 or similar cart, it should be almost all the way out the the edge of the tube that it sits in. When you refill a cart with the standard filler, it's best to remove the filler with tweezers, drop in several drops of juice, and reinsert it. Then, drop juice a drop at a time on the filler after you reinsert the filler, until the filler begins to saturate. When it looks like a slushy it has absorbed all that it will absorb. That way you get juice in the bottom of the cart as well as on the top of the filler material.

PG juices can cause a raw feeling in your mouth when you first start using them. VG is a little easier and has less throat hit than PG. In any case, drink lots of water when vaping. You want to keep the mouth moist. PG, especially, is a humectant (absorbs water) so dry mouth can be a problem.

Thanks, jj2 and j21blackjack .. my tongue feels burned like when drinking something really HOT. I try not to put the PV tip against my tongue, so not sure what I'm doing or NOT doing.... Dave P, I'll try your idea. It makes sense. I've been putting a couple drops of e-juice on the atty on occasion to keep it moist and to boost vapor production, but I like your idea and will try it.

THANKS everyone, for the prompt replies and help. You are all great!
