Hi I am a new user to vaping I want to know if the coil is burnt beacuse it seems black inside. Is it possible to know seeing outside if it is burnt? the coil is 0.5 ohm euc (veco tank) and the taste seems to be nothing

Hello @Stavros., yes that certainly looks well toasted and clogged up.

May I ask what liquid you're using and how long you've been using the coil?

And I wish to know if you primed it before use?

Also, what mod do you have as well please and what power are you using?
I use a liquid muffins berries in 25 watt I have made about 30 ml in 5-6 days the atomizer is with swag mod and I have made a good prime before using it this happens very often (burn coil) even if I use it very well

A few tips on taking pictures: Don't use flash! Get in good light. Back up a bit from subject (the coil)... it will focus better.
I couldn't really see anything in those pics. Did it taste bad (scorched)? or just not producing vapor and/or flavor?
The coil seems to be tired even if I didn't make so much ml ... the taste has been lost and the production vapor is low

50/50 is thin so we can rule that out... however, really sweet juices do clog coils faster. I'm guessing you vape a lot. Long draws, combined with not enough time between draws will not allow the coil to cool off (also, not enough air flow) so...
shorter draws, wait awhile between draws and make sure you don't have the airflow closed to tight.

Way back when I used factory coils I got a day or two or three out of them and it was time to change. I prefer a fresh, clean, flavorful vape and that went usually away on day 3.

If your juice is clear rather than brown or creamy you will get longer vape time before the coil is gunked up and the wicking is toast.

Thanks for the informing the coil I use is well know for its long date life (ceramic) but it seems to be the inverse.... with the se zenith the same liquid last longer with the 0.8 although it is mtl...

Is it sweet or colored, maybe does seem short life for a coil, but IDK those coils too well. How much do you vape it a day.

I will say ALL my coil lives extended vastly when I got several devices in rotation. Overheating is just plain bad for coils.

The liquid I use is dark and sweet ... i make about 6 ml a day but the ceramic coils are supposed to be to resist longer ....

Thank you, there shouldn't be an issue with the ratios then with wicking.

How sweet is it? As sweeteners can cause issues over time.

You could try using your coils in TC mode on your SWAG.

With no tank on SWAG, fire mod and clear resistance reading.

Make sure coil in tank is at ambient temperature and attach to mod, then set new coil resistance.

Set TCR manually to 88.

Set watts to 28 or as close as possible.

Let us know if there's any improvement then.

It is not necessarily the coil to be burned. Coils get darker. Lost of taste may be just vapor tongue. You can try to boil the coil in water for 5 minutes and see if it is white again also. But really that liquid you are using is a coil killer.
Make sure to dry the coil after cleaning it (overnight is best)

What I have found is that the darker and sweeter a liquid is, the less of it I can vape from any coil before it gets dirty (gunks up) and I need to either clean it or replace it. I think this has been the experience of a lot of people. The difference the liquid used makes to the life of our coils can be quite significant.

In my opinion, either change to a different liquid or accept that the one you are vaping is going to use up coils fast.
