So,
I've looked through the threads and the female portion of the 510 connector seems pretty easy up until you get to the center pin. I'm going to be machining my own cap for a mod and getting the body portion of the connector is easy, it's the center pin that's giving me fits.
I figure I'll do my top plate out of stainless so the barrel of the connector will be stainless but the positive terminal or center pin needs to be isolated and apparently have a bit of counter pressure when the atty is screwed in. I'm not sure how to go about doing this. I can make a pin out of brass no problem but I don't know what to use as an isolator or how to really 'fit it all in' so to speak so it's durable, sealed, and isn't goign to just collapse and give me a crappy connection.
has anyone done this and care to share some tips?
