Hey guys two quick questions

I have a sigeli 100W and an ipv2s box mod. I use efest 30 or 35a in all of them. In my ipv2 when I go over like 30 watts after about2-3 seconds it often says check battery. I swap it for another one and still a problem. Like I see on the status bar it is full and when I hit it it goes down and down until it depletes and then says check battery? Any suggestions

Also when I use any rda on my sigeli vs my ipv2 it hits harder at the same wattage? like my igo -w at .6 ohms at 30w on my sigeli makes much more vapor than my ipv... isnt 30 watts still 30 watts though?? maybe the sigeli is stonger cuz of 2 batteries?

thanks!!

You are correct in that 30wa is 30wa but it may be possible that the iPV is modulated while the Sigeli is not. Modulated will quickly pulse between two wattages one lower and the other either at the target or above to give you the desired power. A non-modulated will just drive the power at a constant level and once you are attuned to your vape you can tell the difference. It is also know with many devices, i.e. iSticks, that the settings fluctuate to a good degree. There are many cases where when comparing two different iSticks set at the same level one will be very underpowered while the other is over.

The easiest solution is "dial to taste". While the settings may be a good reference point I always start low, work my way up to when I can tell just a little more will result in a burnt hit, and back off to the setting just below that. That setting is different with every device, every topper, every combination I run so just "dial to taste".

The battery issue sounds like you have a hardware problem with the iPV. I bought an iPV2 when they first came out and have never experienced what you describe. Maybe the start of a short or a bad board, don't know but that would be my guess. My battery symbol does go down while I am hitting it (just checked) but I have never seen a check battery message. Sorry.

You say the Sigelei hits harder at the same wattage then the iPV. but do they read the same Voltage? I have a 50W & 100W Sigelei, when I put both at the same wattage with the same resistance, they do not have the same Voltage. I know, the 50W has 1 battery and the 100W has 2. But the thinking holds true. Maybe the iPV runs currently differently thus giving you more "hit" on the Sigelei? Just a thought.

And where this stems from, is there is youtube video of this guy re-building the OCC coils for his subtank mini (its actually a really great walk-through). Any way, at the end of the video he fires up his new coil on 18W at 8.8V!!!!!! What? 8.8V?? How is this possible!?! He never says what type of Box Mod he is actually using, but it's a "wood box mod", looks like it would hold about 2 battery's. he built his OCC coils to 1.2 ohms!! 8.8V!! That just seems wild to me!!
