My favorite bourbon flavor is Castle Long. Back in the day I smoked Borkim Riff Whiskey pipe tobacco and this vape flavor comes close to that.

Looks great but this is what I don't understand, they all have other flavors in them and seemingly always vanilla.
"...accented with toasted coconut, roasted almond, Madagascar vanilla bean, and laced with a caramelized brown sugar."
That pipe tobacco you smoked sounds great but... I just don't understand... coconut, almond, vanilla, brown sugar.

All those flavors combine for a very unique, complex, rich flavor. Worth a shot (no pun intended). I don't even like coconut (makes me gag) but I love this flavor.

I used to work for a vape shop, and this was one of the more popular flavors that we carried.

Canadian e-juice so not sure of availability elsewhere. Royal Oak from Blackwood e-juice. Strong Cuban tobacco with a cherry whisky. Vanilla bourbon need not apply!

Ok, read some and this sounds delicious! Put it in cart, says can't ship to US : (

Anyone know US source for this?

Anyone know any Canadian bootleggers?

Could get some TFA Kentucky Bourbon flavoring and experiment.

And is probably something I will do... after I get more experience and some of my noobish wears off.

Point well taken, TY.

I have read of Gentleman's Reserve, and many have described it as a Castle Long clone. I have yet to try it. :thumb:

I see that Gentleman's Reserve is steeped in oak barrels. Castle Long Reserve is Castle Long also steeped in oak barrels, for an additional price tag. Having had the opportunity to vape both Castle Long versions, I personally preferred the plain version.

Tobacco is actually sweet... there are molasses back notes to tobacco, and you don't have an authentic tobacco flavor without that hint of sweetness.

The caramelized brown sugar, that is trying to get that right note of sweetness.. .

I will simply assume that this is what other flavors like Vanilla are also attempting to do.

Here's the deal. Recreating a cigarette is nigh on impossible because the burning is part of the taste and can't be recreated in ejuice, so adding other flavors to the mix like bourbon, vanilla, coconut etc. is just trying to give you a pleasant pipe tobacco taste, with slight twists to keep the tobacco palatable in ejuice form.

This makes a lot of sense. I'll also add that the majority of e-liquid flavors originate from concentrates extracted from food. I challenge anyone to name a food that tastes like tobacco or dried tobacco leaves. Tobacco flavored e-liquid is one of the hardest flavors for manufacturers to make and taste like cigarette or pipe tobacco when vaped. Many will have the aroma of a tobacco, but rarely taste like it.

It's just terribly difficult tobacco is.

Best bet for the OP is like I did for my husband, just buy some and try it... it's about all that can be done.

Where are you purchasing from? Both Gas City Vapes and Saga Vape will ship to the US. Do not know if there is a minimum purchase requirement or what they charge for shipping.

Believe it was one of your posts that inspired me to try Castle Long. Only tried the reg version, which is expensive as it is here in the Great White North. How different is the Reserved version?

Gas City is the one that says can't ship to US. Saga Vape does but with shipping it's like $28 for 30 ml. Adding to to cart so I can get free shipping ; )
