I've recently bought some bluBerry (18mg nicotine) from Tesco for £4.99 and it's unbelievably painful to vape, even on a low wattage setting. Is this normal for a high nicotine product? It's like smoking a cigar! I've gone back to my 0.3mg home made liquid that my friend makes and that's fine to vape (so I know it's not my eCigarette). I'd put a brand new coil in before trying it too so it wasn't a burnt out coil causing it to be so harsh lol!

I'm pretty sure you use 3mg, not .3mg but yes, You got kicked by the Mule

Instead of posting concerns, then wondering off and making more bad choices, you could wait for some assistance.

Purchase the Same e-liquid in -0mg-
Now you can find a proper nic level.
using Both
75%(18mg) 25%(0mg) - 12mg
50%(18mg) 50%(0mg) - 9mg
25%(18mg) 75%(0mg) - 6mg

Honestly I figure you are a 6mg-9mg vaper with your equipment. If the equipment changes, the nic level may need to change.

I've been having the odd real cigarette when I'm in the pub etc and I'm absolutely fine with that but I can't even begin to explain how harsh that 18mg liquid was on the throat. Even when I put the wattage down to 10w it was painful!

I'm going to stick with my low mg liquids I think. Maybe I have an intolerance to vaporized nicotine ;)

More an intolerance to taking good advice. But hey, if you enjoy posting for posting sake - go for it.

Low nic - Water with a Squeeze of lemon
High Nic - Ever Clear

In between there are many levels of heaven;)

I commented on the other thread.

"Can I point out to you that BLU (UK) is actively supporting the UK government in the regulation and possible banning of refillable e-cigs? They are that sick.

Anyway, as I suspected, you are using 3mg e-liquid (3mg is not 0.3mg liquid, by the way) and that is why you are needing to vape at such high power and therefore using coils and juice.

Try something in between. I like 12mg at regular power and 6mg at higher power, but still not 30w... I just can't take it.

(I have vaped at 100 watts with zero nic' VG... so it's all about the PG and the Nicotine levels)"

Ask him to make you some in the same mg as you're buying. Maybe you're just buying crap liquids, lots of them around. I was getting good juice that was made at a local shop on demand. That juice tasted good, until I started DIYing. I haven't bought any store bought juice in months.

Edit: It also depends on the coil. I've vaped 3mg at 150 watts. My daily driver is .25 ohms at 95 watts, sometimes I change that from 80 - 110 watts. The reason I use that much power is my coils, clapton coils at 3mm diameter, 24g kanthal wrapped with 36g nichrome dual coils in an RDA with big airflow.
