Bloog auto battery vs v2 auto battery

Hi,

I've been using v2 KR808 batteries for about 8 months. I've been branching out with different KR808 cartomizer models and been mixing my own own e-liquid for about 5 months.
Recently I've been having difficulties with my v2 auto battery. I am having to reset it frequently. I read a couple of threads on ECF, prior to me joining ECF, and saw some people liked the bloog. I know there are slightly better brands out there, but I like the style of the bloog. So, I ordered a 102mm auto battery.
My question is this: How would you compare the bloog auto battery to the v2 auto battery? I'm assuming since they are both KR808 my v2 charger and other generic KR808 accessories I've purchased will work with the bloog. Is there anything I should look out for or be aware of with the bloog?

Good to know. Thanks for the welcome. I've been getting information from ECF for awhile. I finally decided to join the discussion.


I've been using Kanger Horizontal Coil cartomizers and I've liked them thus far. Is there any good cartomizers you'd recommend. I found a place in china where I can get the Kanger cartomizers for $5.20 a 5pk, so the cost is appealing.

Thanks for the info. v2 are quite over priced. You pay around $25 for just one battery. My bloog was about $15 with shipping and a 15% discount coupon code. That's not bad at all. I also like the style of the bloog slightly more. I find it to look more sleek. As a long time smoker and only a recent vaper, I've found that the slim e-cigs most closely resemble my previous habit, so I prefer for the time being. I do want to move into larger PVs in the future, at least for home use. I have to say that a slim is a great because it can just slip into my pocket and not take up too much space.

V2 - as for as I know, standard KR808D-1, 3.7v (not the 4.2v they claim - all real 3.7v batteries can briefly be 4.2v fresh off the charger but they are called 3.7v batteries). I do not know how long their safety cutoff is

Standard KR808D-1 by Kanger - 3.7v, 5 or 6-second cutoff

Volt/Bloog/G6 - rubberized, 3.6v regulated (slightly lowered voltage which gets them about 40mah longer charge), better sealed end on the manuals, 5-second cutoff

V4L - 3.7v and many have a custom 10+ second cutoff

I don't use autos. I only use manuals so I can't tell you about the airflow differences between V2 and Volt. The one auto I bought was too much work for less hit and it's now the spare for my spare's spare. I most use V4L manuals but I do own one manual Volt.

The cutoff - the cutoff is how long you can activate the battery before the safety cutoff turns off the battery. Some safety cutoffs have an enforced timeout after that, but with Volt it seems ready to use again as soon as the short quick bunch of flashes stop. I never reach my single-logo battery V4L cutoff of 10-13 seconds. If you have a long cutoff on the V2 then the short cutoff of the Volt could be what you mean by needing to reset it?

Voltage - the V2 may be hotter than Volt fresh off the charger. The Volt may stay warmer near the end of charge than the V2.

I don't have any of KR808 batts, but from I learn about it from a friend who use them; Bloog/Volt/G6 are 2nd generation batts while everything else are 1st generation batts (I'm guessing nhaler's 808 are 2nd gen too). He told me that 1st gen KR808 charger are compatible with 2nd gen batts, but the new 2nd gen charger won't work well with 1st gen batts. IDK if it's true or not since I haven't got any.

- slim 510 at about 3.2v is weaker than KR808D-1's. I do use a manual but just as an extra flavor I can pick up.


fat battery 510 stuff (can use hotter LR atomizers/cartomizers though many do not recommend going below 2 or 1.7ohms. 1.5 ohms may damage the battery)

- Joye Ego - popular, 3.4v
- Riva 510 - the kits at Liberty-Flights.com are 3.7v, and those elsewhere may be 3.4 like Ego or 3.7
- Kgo - I think these are 3.7v and people get them at Hoosier
- other various fat batteries in their 510-threaded versions, some 3.4v, some 3.7v

Every shape, material and price from $20 for plastic to $200+ for some steel and wood ones, all not including the industrial protected or AW-IMR batteries and battery charger. Some are 3.7v, some variable voltage, some high voltage

Haha. Shows I'm still learning. I meant larger non-slim batteries, but I can see you figured that one out. What would everyone recommend in a 510 fat battery kit?

The kGo is def a quality bigger battery PV, and I would also check out the E-Power.
Personally I like the E-Power and kGo alot more than the eGo bc their both 3.7V PVs, while the eGo is only 3.3-3.4V.
3.7V PVs provide alittle more "oomph" than an eGo, and more importantly handle the lower resistance attys and cartos a lot better. Both the E-Power and kGo have 510 connections.

The main difference between the 2 is that the E-Power uses non-proprietary batteries, which are removable. E-Power batteries cost $4-5 compared to eGo/kGo/riva batteries that cost $14-20. The batteries are 1050mah and I get on avg a day tpo a day and a half on one battery. Also everything is replaceable on the E-Power so its cheaper to maintain.
The kGo is a nice PV too, even though it uses proprietary batteries. The batteries are 1100mah so they last a long time as well and most people can get a full day on one battery.

I think youd be really happy with either one, and they will both def be better than your slim ecig.
You can buy an E-Power or kGo kit for under $50.
Hoosier Ecig Supply and DarkCity Vapor have good deals on the kGo
Crystal Clear Vaping is where I bought my E-Power. Their kit costs $57, which is alittle more than what some other vendors charge, but they give you about $25 in free stuff, so its actually a really good deal.
Sweet-vapes also has a really good deal on the E-Power. They sell the kit for only $41.95, and you can get the kit with either attys and some prefilled cartridges, or your choice of cartos (def get the cartos, I would get the Boge 2.0ohm cartos to start) Also sweet-vapes kit comes with the newest switch, which works great with 1.5ohm cartos and up, and also has a 5-click on/off feature so you can turn off the unit
