Howdy. My joyetech Ego AIO is acting funky. I just bought new coils for it that I was told work for the Ego but so far have not. Every time I screw in the coil, it blinks 3 times and does not work. I looked on this site for help and tried a few things: screwing the coil so it's closer to the mod, charging it, turning it off and on. None of that has worked and it still is blinking. Could I get some help, please?

More than likely if you have charged it, turned it off/on, and all that and it is still messing up, one of two things is going on...
1. you were given the wrong coil
2. your device is starting to die.
I would suggest going back and buying another coil and trying it again. Maybe even go to your local vape shop and see if they can help you diagnose the problem.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's telling you that it does not detect a coil or that it detects a short. I can't remember which one is for 3 blinks.

Did you buy Joyetech coils or some off-brand? If off-brand, then that's probably your problem. Coil is manufactured improperly and does not make connection at bottom or it has a short. Of course, this could happen even with authentic joytech coils. Quality control on coil heads has never been that great across all brands.

In searching the www for an answer, I remember seeing this issue before, I came across this answer that worked:

"The problem is the coil is not making a connection to the base of the unit. There's two solutions to this problem, first one is pushing down and turning the top of the unit left (basically opposite of what you would do if you were taking the top off to refill) as you rotate you will feel a series of grooves. Try stopping in each groove and firing the unit.
Second one is loosening the coil a bit. I have always tightened the coil as much as possible, I realized backing out the coil just a rotation or two would make it closer to the metal base of the tank."

It seems to be a common problem if you Google it.

Welcome and glad you joined.

Your problem could stem from many different causes.
Could contact:
Local B&M Vape Shop (Visit)/someone who knows what their doing -----Might be simple.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor may help).
Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.
Could a look at:

Most likely the first one. The coil is meant for a joyetech but I don't think it is for the Ego AIO.

I'm gonna get a new vape soon so hopefully

IMHO, you should get something that you can adjust your wattage yourself.

Most likely the first one. The coil is meant for a joyetech but I don't think it is for the Ego AIO.

Interesting. Can you provide a link to the coils you bought? They should look like this and I believe they are called BF coils (Not ProC-BF, those are different) many different joyetech tanks use the BF coils.
