Is one ratio better than another for longer coil life? I have used 80/20, 70/30 & 60/40 in my .04 Cletio tank. My understanding is that the higher VG has a higher viscosity? If this is correct, I would think that the 60/40 would flow faster or easier than 80/20 therefore keeping the wick wet adding life to the coil by not getting dry hits. So far in my limited experience (6 months) it appears the opposite is true.

You can vape whatever vg/pg ratio you want, its the added sweeteners in commercial juices that kill your coil fast. If its dry hits that killing your coil then you have to either research your atty to find fixes or solutions for the dryhits or change your vaping technique. Some stock coils are packed too tight and not letting juice flow along with vaping too high of power or pulling too hard with lack of juice flow make for a bad hit. There are so many variables to why attys give dryhits.
I've been vaping 60/40 for eons but I rebuild my coils and DIY my juice so I have forgotten what a dry hit is since its been I would say at least a couple years since I have had a dryhit coil.
