So I’m a ex smoker, I’m only looking for MTL suggestions in mind as I don’t DL t all. After a year or so on my Vapefly Galixes which has been good so far, I’ve recently noticed a lot of MTL RTA”s have since been released . I was looking for recommendations on other MTL RTA’s both the old and the new as the only real MTL tanks I’ve owned is the berserka mini (was not for me) mand the vapefly galxies tank.

I’d really appreciate a smokers opinion and also has tried a lot of different MTL tanks. Also I was wondering if anyone can compare other MTL tanks to the vape fly galaxy as that’s the one I’ve really only used in the last year. Unfortunately I don’t have the money to buy every single RTA MTL tank on the market , I simply want to get the best MTL draw possible for me.

I’ve also not tried classics like the kayfun so wonder how the older tanks stick up with the new? I definitely prioritise a pure smoker MTL style draw over leaks, ease of building etc. Thanks for your time!

Well I don't know much about the Nibiru RTA, but it's certainly an interesting looking restricted DTL to MTL RTA as it does have a lot of the little design features that you're looking for.

Here's a link to a decent clone at a decent price, unfortunately there's no mention to wether glass or plastic is used.

ULTON Nibiru Style 316SS 22mm RTA 3.1ml - Silver

Then there's the Tripod RTA, a dammed god one as the flavour and throat hit are really nice indeed. Smallest airflow reducer is 1.0mm, but you get an airflow control ring as well with the Tripod so you can tailor it further.

Ulton clone link here for reference, unfortunately they sold out of the extended capacity kits.

ULTON Tripod Style 316SS 22mm RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer 2ml (1:1) - Silver

But I can see a very large list forming.

As mentioned the Brunhilde is a good one in my opinion. The 5ml ones being used for several months now.
It gives 6 possible levels of airflow with 1.4 being used on the 3 in rotation here.
Never leaks - diy e-liquid used is 93% PG.

May i suggest whatever you consider look up a video to see whats what.

I love the True RTA by Nature Vape, I use it 8-10 hrs daily. Great flavor and super smooth airflow. I have 3 and love them all.

I too am a BIG fan of the True tanks. They're quite marvelous.

That said, this many years later I still haven't found anything that equals the extraordinary wonder that is ErlKönigin (where my taste buds are concerned, at least).

I couldn't agree more- the Erlkönigin tank will probably always be my over-all favorite. And thanks to my new ECF-BFF @DPLongo22 I now have an Erl Nano (which I've been wanting for years)

Just from my rather odd experience (I pretty much moved away from Chinese stuff and have a personal aversion to clones) I've found that old is better than new. I keep a lot of mods in rotation, and right now I'm using a Kayfun V5, Mini V3, Hurricane 1.3, Taifun GTII, and a Byka V6. Even though they're all a few years old I find they give the great saturated flavor and throat hit I like in MTL. I rate the Skyline very highly also and use it daily, but it's pretty much just not available new or used at this point.

I can't help you regarding the Galaxy but agree with you about the Berserker. I think I still have one around here somewhere. It was highly rated and raved about but just didn't come that close for me.

If you're OK with having to buy premade coils, anything using the Aspire Nautilus coil is pretty good. Their original 1.6 and 1.8 coils were reliable favorites. A couple of years later, they released a .07 version which was a noticeable improvement. And a little more recently the .07 mesh coil came out, and is also an improvement. You can still get new Nautilus tanks, and they do well though my favorite for the coil is the Kabuki. I think there are a few new ones left and I see used ones from time to time at very reasonable prices.

There is one current atomizer I'm really fond of - the Van & Del/Mark Todd M.T. Essentials Haar. I'll warn you that it will make you rethink your building process. It needs a lot more cotton than anything else I have, but once I hit the sweet spot it is among my favorite devices.

And the Taifun is great. But be careful. Ever since the GTII, they have moved towards the DL side of things. I bought a GTIII the first week it was released because the GTII was so great. But I could never get it closed down enough for a vape I liked and still have any flavor. I sold it within a month of receiving it. Apparently the GTIV was even more open. I've heard good thing about their latest, but sadly don't trust Taifun at this point enough to spend that much (worth every penny for quality, though) for something I may not like.

The Erl was a game changer for me in vaping. I didn't have the best experience with my flash-e-vapor(first RTA), and the Erl(second RTA) set the standard and bar high. I will have and use them(plural thanks to @DPLongo22 ) to the end of my vaping days. It is just such a perfect vape, every time!

The SMJY doggy 2k16 is a great secondary RTA for me. It's a good throw-around, just toss a coil and wick in, it just plain works.. doesn't leak, it's not fiddly and is easy. The Erl had a slight learning curve, but I mean once you've dialed it in and coiled and wicked it a thousand or more times..

As far as MTL is concerned, I’ve come back home.

I drifted away into RDL for a while, but when the nic salts hit the scene, I knew I’d be coming back to MTL.

Since then, I’ve found that the Kayfun Lite 2019 gives a great MTL vape...

But...the device I find myself using the most is the DotAIO with an Atmizoo DotShell.

Perfect compact 18650 mod, with a great MTL vape.

I can go further into detail if you’d like!

I’m late to this thread but I will add - flavour wise I haven’t found anything that beats the mark bugs gem. However - if you vape more than 50% veg juice you really need the titanium or v2 with the larger wicking channels.

It’s got outstanding flavour. It’s easy to build - but due to the almost nonexistent chamber it does need to be rebuilt relatively regularly but boy is it great when it’s built correctly.

The second version (and maybe they have a lite now but check the air holes) I believe still had the tighter draw.

The perfect version of you can find one is the titanium. While it’s limited edition it never really seems to have hit collector status and can be had in expensively second hand when owners do part with them.

I prefer Kayfun Prime with nozzle kit, I think it wicks a little better than KFL'19 or 21 with a thick VG. But right now I am enjoying 75% VG in a KFL'21, maybe everything hit 100% this time. Small margins on good attys for sure.

Cheap attys, I like the old Berserker, v1.
