Opened a package I forgot ordered yesterday from 2017, discovered a GeekVape AMMIT 25 inside (from fasttech), did a nice 3.5mm single coil build on it using some fused SS 316L wire from Lighning Vapes. Had to rewick due to a small leak, otherwise the best single coil tank I own (beats the cloned Reload Kindbright on flavor).:D

Was some spitback at first, then leveled off after vaping a couple of tanks, may have been the wire not primed enough.

However, I have an issue with the drip tips, there's two sizes & both are hot on my lips, like some low grade plastic. I was wondering if a resin based drip tip would do better, was looking on fasttech & their selection is limited, wanted Pyrex & was sold out. Basically want a 510 drip tip which runs cool, as I 'chain vape' at times & need it to be cooler than these tips can do.

Tried some stainless steel ones from unused tanks, these were just as hot, thought I had some Goon type ones, must have used elsewhere (or forgot where these are).

Any ideas on the best cool running drip tips for the GeekVape AMMIT 25 would be highly appreciated.:)

I like ceramic drip tips. Generally for DL I use wide bore and about 15plus mm long.
Recently though for DL Ive taken to using 510 ceramic mtl drip tips about 20-25mm long.
I dont like any heat, or as little as possible. Ceramic seems to be pretty good at not conducting heat. Silicon drip tips stay cool but discolour eventually.
Every time I drag out the Ammit 25 Im surprised at what a great single coil atty it is.

Jebhn, thanks for your words of wisdom!:)

I believe instead of my usual ordering online, will go to the vape shop about three blocks from where I live & see if they have the ones you mentioned (the 510 ceramic MTL 20-25mm long). As I prefer the narrow tips over large. If by chance that vape shop doesn't carry these, there's another down the street. Should be a common item for most vape shops, yet sometimes you never know.:D

Fortunately the closest one has been in business for over 2 years, so should stock much everything.

Yes, I like single coil vaping also, have used the included adapter in my TFV12 Cloud Beast King to make the dual coil setup into a single. Yet it's not the same flavor as a natural single coil tank. I suppose the massive amount of e-juice it holds has something to do with it, plus the coil is towards one side & not the center. It's my least favorite tank & often have to rewick due to leaks. Have followed one video after another, same result.

The only good thing I can say for the TFV12 Cloud Beast is that on the 3 coil deck, have been using the originals for nearly two years, will remove wick and pulse burn off at 16W until glowing evenly, rinse & repeat the process. Don't know where their coils came from, yet have held up well & it gets a lot of usage.:D

As for the AMMIT 25 RTA, am 100% sure it'll quickly become my #1 tank, may buy another while available, FastTech now has both the black & stainless steel models for around $25 shipped. I truly love this tank & wished I'd opened the package over 2 years sooner (packaged on 08/23/2017), would likely have 3-4 by now.

While I have a few powerful tanks, am not a cloud chaser, although will mess with the cat a bit with one now & then.:D Prefer flavor versus massive clouds & the GeekVape AMMIT 25 delivers. The 3D deck helps a lot with airflow, great balance of flavor and cloud output. Flavor also beter than that of the Vaporesso NRG tank with the 0.3ohm CCell ceramic coils, of which until yesterday, was using with the Nicotine River Heaven flavoring I use to make my own e-juice.

Again, thanks for the advice, will go to the vape shop later today & see if one has this drip tip. Glad to see someone else who appreciates single coil builds, as the market has long shifted to dual & tri coil decks. Will post the outcome for the benefit of the ECF community.:)

Hey Cat, just a bit off topic but do you mind sharing your recipe using Pur. Heaven flavoring? Is it just that? If so what’s the %? If not what else at what %?
If you don’t want to share your recipe that’s perfectly ok, it’s just I’ve been vaping fruit mixes and could always use another recipe to consider.
And to get us back on topic, I also use single coil tanks rta’s and rda’s although I’ve never tried the Ammit 25. I only use single coils, I don’t think I need another coil to get excellent flavor. I think some vapers get into this more is better kick and have to have intricate, complex, high mass coils or two and a simple single coil would give just as good flavor and heat up and cool down faster using less battery to do so. I know many would protest this but it’s been my experience trying all this coils and ending up where I started.
Oh and for drip tips I use some glass ones which never get hot, nor does wood ones although they are dry in the lips so I don’t like them. My favorite are the longer skinny vase or vase like drip tips in Teflon and I have some that are acrylic (I think) anyway that was my getting this thread back on topic and I’d love to hear your recipe. Thanks for listening, or rather reading.
