I have a Capella coconut... I don't get any perfume from it.. I just had to go take a whif of the concentrate and it smells creamy... its the only coconut ive bought so don't know how it compares to others but when I did a test batch with it a while back there was def not any perfume smell orelse it would have gone in the bin :) good luck

the creamy statement could be misleading.. its only a hint of creaminess

and not lacking in flavour

I cant really answer that question.. I've only been doing DIY since around xmas time.. but I do have about 40 dif flavour's already and it feels like ive been at it for years :D

I pretty much did the same as your doing and did my homework, decided I didn't want any perfume taste in my juice, even go to liberty-flights and read the reviews on the dif diy juice's there and additives, people will say good and bad about the same flavour, so long as the majority agree to differ
I have some ry4 and maxxi-blend tobacco from flavour art, I like and a non tobac caramel is good

All The Alchemists cupboard ive tried are good

Loranns are ment for cakes and sweets but there are some good ones, one I will buy again is the cream cheese icing, tastes just like icing on xmas cake

Most of my flav's are capella and they are all good to

got nothing bad to say about any of the above apart from maybe loranns apricot is perfume taste to me..yukyuk yuk

Are Capella and LorAnn's flavors tastes that much better than the competitors? I see that most of the DIYers here using their flavors.

I believe you're way off with this assumption. It would make a good poll. I believe new diy'ers probably go with TFA/TPA and maybe some LorAnn's...I don't see much love for LorAnn flavors, especially from folks who've been at it for a while.

My uncalculated guess in terms of popularity ranking (popular opinion, not which flavors are safer, better) would be in this order...

TFA/TPA - and they may be on the decline for those concerned with trace amount of chemicals ( acetyl pyrazine, diacetyl, acetoine )

FlavourArt - Very good reputation and flavors selection tested and geared towards vapers as opposed to the food industry exclusively...

Capella - Lots of folks like their flavors

Hangsen - Fourth because...well I think there's just some sort of stigma many folks associate with the company. I love most all their tobacco's

Inawera - Last because most folks simply haven't tried their flavors and tend to stick with better known ones. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one move up in rankings very fast.

My choices would be in this order...Hangsen - ( FlavourArt - Inawera - toss up here) Capella. Bout the only thing I use from TFA is their Vanilla Swirl and nothing from LorAnn!

I started a thread a little while back looking for sweet baker's coconut ideas...Every flavoring company makes a coconut, but it can be surprisingly hard to work with as a stand alone flavor. They are very mild to me and become 'waxy' at higher percentages, and everyone has a different favorite...there seems to be no particular brand that the majority likes. I know since I believe I own them all at this point!! I will continue to try with it as time allows, someday I'll get it the way my favorite premix vendor does...

Oh btw ecigexpress 'signature' line is actually supplied by TPA/TFA ...

Thanks!
Is there any flavoring vendor that considered healthier/safer?
I know this field is not tested yet for inhaling, but it doesn't hurt to ask anyway :)

I have to go with SueandCootie on this one. Most coconut flavors to me are bland and give an almost soapy taste at higher percentages. I have tried the Watkins imitation coconut extract and have found that it give the truest flavor without the weird taste when you mix stand alone. I just need to order some pineapple and give pina colada a go.

FlavourArt seems to be leading the way in developing flavors that are being tested for adverse chemicals and geared towards the vaping community as opposed to others who hide under the veil of "use at your own risk" food/dessert flavorings....but as I understand TFA and Capella are conducting some testing.

Sigaretta Elettronica - Sigaretta Elettronica - FlavourArt - La sartoria degli aromi

...and just an FYI http://clearstream.flavourart.it/site/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/CSA_ItaEng.pdf

...and oh yeah I forgot to answer....in my lil ole opinion...Coconut = Capella & FlavourArt

Diacetyl | ClearStream by FlavourArt
"Disclaimer: We produce and sell FOOD FLAVORS which comply with Italian and EU legislation and EFSA reccomendation. They are safe for FOOD use as they are intended to enter the body by the digestive system, not by lungs"

:D

But I do understand your point :)

Got my azure flavors today, not too impressed... the coconut is okay-ish, not more than that.

But still I got 60ml of very decent liquids with flavors that I do like, so for a first DIY attempt I consider that as a huge success compare to most of my previous online eliquid orders :p

Just ordered few Flavourart and Capella, should be here I guess next week :)

And my biggest question - just out of curiosity, what's the harm on using more than 20% flavoring? (I need to get scared to make myself careful).

On the 20% flavoring question...oddly enough virtually all flavoring begin to fade off at more than 20%, or turn perfumish, much as too much coconut gets waxy above a certain level. You can start low, think a flavor is weak, start gradually adding in extra, and all of a sudden the flavor diminishes...

Right now I have the coconut from FlavorWest, its ok nothing too special though. I have tried coconut from several vendors for the most part they seem to taste the same, just my opinion though. The best I've tried is the "coconut candy" from TPA/TFA. When my FW coconut runs out I'm gonna go back to TPA's coconut candy.
