Hiya ECF,

I have recently developed a sensitivity to vaping after months of vaping that in driving me insane and I bought my first pack(s) of analogs after being smoke free for all this time.

I have been vaping 50%/50% VG/PG liquids with 12mg nicotine strength for over 4 months now.

I want to start making my own liquids to be able to try different VG/PG percentages to see if I may have developed a sensitivity to one of them. I would also like to try different nicotine strengths to see if that causes issues.

Out of all the e-liquids I have tried since I developed this sensitivity the ones that caused me the least issues was an Apple, Kiwi, Strawberry, Menthol flavor (Kryptonik made by Jugheads).

I was hoping if you guys can help with some recipes containing fruit/berry and mint flavors?

Grab extreme ice from Flavor West and use about 10 drops for a smooth icy menthol. You can also make strawberry ice, peach or whatever fruit you enjoy. Even better with a little sweet cream with a hint of dulce de leche and you have a smoothie type deal going on. Or you could buy menthol crystals and premade menthol flavoring. But I find the extreme ice is the perfect minty menthol and used by many of the big juice makers to make ice flavors. You can make extreme ice yourself with menthol and wintergreen or peppermint but I'd rather buy perfection.

I vape mostly fruit menthol DIY but my recipes are a bit complex...

I would recommend hangsen flavors
juicy peach
peach (a lot more like candy)
mango
black cherry
raspberry
granny smith

those all work great with menthol
I get my menthol (i've tried the menthol flavor as well as the crystals, both great) and hangsen at vapingzone

pain in some joints, cramps and poor circulation.

While cigarettes do cause problems with circulation especially in the legs nicotine does not. It's the displacement of oxygen in the blood that typically leads to problems. I almost lost both my legs due to blood clots (thankfully still have both) from sitting long hours and smoking. The best thing you can do is go outside (walk, run do whatever you can) and get more exercise to get the blood flowing.

Thanks Crunk for sharing. You alerted me to a blood clot as a possible factor. How are they diagnosed, by ultrasound? Absolutely right about cigarettes causing poor circulation - especially in the legs. But some of these very symptoms are present even with vaping - although to a lesser degree. Water helps a lot, both to increase circulation and to relieve dehydration. I get some relief within 10 minutes of drinking it !! I will have to increase my physical activity as well. I love my vape and don't like to give it up.... But it may eventually come to that.

If you have a blood clot you would know it the swelling and pain would become unbearable after just a few days. One of my legs almost doubled in size as I had a clot from the groin all the way to my ankle. I let it go thinking it was from tearing a muscle at the gym. That was until my leg swelled, became very warm and eventually (after five days or rest) felt like it was going to explode.

I used to sit at the computer as a web developer for up to six hour stretches while smoking. And yes they use Ultrasound to hunt down clots or they can test for lack of sufficient blood flow using a Vascular Doppler. I also had to get an arterial blood gas test after my second clot which is painful as hell. However I was lucky because my clots stuck in place and not all clots will do that as they can break off and kill you.

If you think you have a clot an ER doctor can easily determine if there is a need for an ultrasound. They will ask questions, feel around and because it's such a common thing they tend to know exactly what to look for. If there is something else causing the joint pain they can probably tell you why that is and what to do about it. So it's best to let a professional diagnose you rather then do what I did the first time and try to find answers online.

I would suggest visiting a quick care clinic if you think something is wrong. They are basically like ER doctors but far cheaper then visiting an ER. I think general practitioners would simply refer you to a specialist or send you for costly tests which you probably don't need. But anytime you think you might have a clot the quicker it gets addressed the less chance of further complications.

Man, that's a big clot if it covered the entire length of your thigh and leg !! You are lucky indeed. Mine is probably not a clot since I do not see too much swelling. It is more of a irritating pain on right ankle and arch. I hear Obama has the same condition, and the doctors have prescribed an occasional Ibuprofen. I personally have seen three doctors and all three have misdiagnosed the problem. All I know is my symptoms dramatically improve with lots of water. They also improve when I vape less pg, and lower my nic and stop cheating with cigarettes. But then again I may have to go for a fourth opinion just to make sure. An urgent care clinic is good advice. Thanks.

I have been noticing some muscle/joint pain recently with my left foot especially around the smallest toe. I thought it was some injury (as I habitually run into things - not on purpose).

On the other hand, with the recent sensitivity to vapor I have been cheating quite a lot with analogs, have been vaping very little though. Will up my water intake and reduce my nicotine consumption and see if there is a change.

Keep us posted. I am very curious to know what your results are. I take almost double the amount of water recommended for a non vaper - adds up to nearly 14-16 glasses of water. You will need to replenish the electrolytes lost in your body. A lot of people use coconut water or Gatorade if you can stand the stuff.
