i haven't screwed on anything too tight but my battery acts like the connector pin is getting pushed down. i now have to screw on my clearo tighter than usual. how do i fix this?

The clearo pin is more likely moving. Just wiggle it down with something small.

There are 2 solutions. (Short of getting new hardware.) You can try to gently lift the pin with a mini screwdriver. Or you can get what the industry refers to as a "spacer" which is basically just a tiny little disc that has electronics in it and makes the connection more stable.
I would be more inclined to think that it is the pin on the nova that is causing the problem. Before I gave up on them I had that problem with my mini novas. I had to adjust the pin each time I put it on a fresh battery. It may not look like it will move but it does. I would use the ever popular paper clip. Gently, ever so gently, insert the tip (just the very tip, of the paper clip into the hole at an angle just the tiniest bit and lift the pin. Sometimes it just had to be wiggled but it always worked fine. Hope this helps.
i have this problem with my Zmax and any type of stardust or kangers... i just have to SLIGHTLY lift the connector with a paper clip or something to get a solid connection.
