Hey people!

I'm new to this forum, or any e-cigarette/vape forum of any kind to be honest.

I started my journey with an joyetech ego aio, was fine but it didn't make the cut. I'm trying to quit "analogs" by the way.

Now, I acquired the Zelos exactly a month ago, on new years eve. However I have a problem.

Everything is dandy and fine, good taste. Pre-built coils help me ( I really can't manage RDA or RDTA's, I'm not gifted in doing my own coils ) Using decent e-liquids.

But my mod is loose. If I hold it from the tank and pusy it vertically and diagonally, the mod itself shakes as if it's made from some cheap material however it's original I've checked.

I tried the top screws, it barely fixes anything.

But to be honest, I had a coil stuck problem and a tank stuck problem where they both were stuck in their respective parts. I may have used extra force to release them from the sticking issue however there should be a fix for this, I feel it's kind of dangerous in this state that it's in.

Anyone had this issue with a Zelos? Thank you all in advance!

Hi and welcome. Sounds like the 510 of the mod is loose. It might have happened when you had a problem unscrewing the tank portion. Not sure how much more can be done other than tighten up any screws there, but I imagine the 510 is just press fit so unless you want to disassemble and see if there's something you can do from the inside is hard to imagine another fix. In general I would not pick up a mod by the tank or push the tank back and forth as you're just creating extra force on the connector and increasing the likelihood of failure.

Thank you very much for the reply. I'll try with the screws again, but I doubt it'll help.

Won't blow up in my face would it? :p

Quick question; any tanks you would suggest on a Zelos besides the Nautilus 2?

I think the zelos goes up to 50W? Lots of good choices out there with factory coils so you don't have to deal with building. Best way to make a recommendation is to know how you like to vape, mouth to lung like a cigarette or direct to lung, and also what about the Nautilus tank isn't satisfying you. No sense recommending essentially the same thing if it's something different you're looking for.

Sounds like you over tightened the tank to your zelos and wrecked the 510 threads from the beginning.
The tank should be gently tightened just enough to prevent wobble/side to side movement & ensure electrical contact.
Not cranked down tight.
With some clear pictures of the threaded areas we might be able to determine if that is the problem or if it is the tank or power device threading.

To be honest I'm still gray about the whole vaping situation. I like to DL ( as much as I can with this mod ) and I like to MTL. I really love flavours and like to vape back to back as 3-6mg's do not make the cut for me.

I guess as the Nautilus is a MTL, can you suggest a good 50w supported DL tank?

I can't provide pics right now however, the mod only tilts on the extorior when the tank is screwed back on top.

I think I messed up the connection places somehow...

The list of choices for 22mm diameter tanks that are good for DL vaping start at the door and go down the street. Around the corner to the bridge and...

Subtank mini, Toptank mini, Estoc Mega, Crown, Crown III (skip II), Baby Beast, Juppi, Ego, Tron, Illusion mini... that's just 10 off the top of my head.

If I had to pick among those, I'd go with a Toptank or an Estoc. Both have a lot of coil choices and 4ml capacity. They're great in the 40 Watt range.

I'm kind of having second thoughts as this device is only 50w ( supposedly ) and it's an internal battery. I doubt it's going to last long and it'll probably have problems keeping up with the tank?

Am I wrong?

Sadly a big portion of these atty's aren't available in Turkey.

Oh what I'd do currently to move back to NY.

I have a zelos 75 watt kit, well I did until I gave it to the husband. I find it gets pretty good battery life but in my opinion 10 watts of headroom isn't going to give you the greatest battery life. If you want to go down the sub0hm trail, I'd really suggest a two battery box mod and a larger, sub0hm tank. You might enjoy the Crown 3, really designed as a sub0hm tank but it does offer some higher resistance coils and can be more of a crossover/restricted lung hit tank. I don't own one, but I have mostly heard good things.

Best of luck you need a new mod anyway if yours is starting to get wobbly. It's not exactly unsafe to vape in its current condition, I don't think... But it may eventually give up the ghost on you and then you'd need a backup anyway.

I don't know what you did other than tightening down the tank too much, but I've found my zelos to be durable an easygoing, I'm surprised this happened, aspire's stuff is pretty solid, at least the stuff I have used.
