There is another vid where the coil is installed from the bottom that wicks better. I also think removing the inner sheath helps it wick better. Do not try to drill out the absorbtion holes in the head...it will flood it more. I think another problem is in the design of the lower chamber...

Check this out....I didn't buy this kit but did replicate it and it works flawlessly. Just drill out an old coil shell (1.4mm drill bit) at the existing air holes, pushed new microcoil in from the bottom, run needle thru the drilled out shell and coil ,reinstall your grommet and pin with everything lined up, cotton wick(trim wick close like you would a kanger rebuild) and your done!
Only rebuild I have got to work consistently with the Nautilus
