I have two Aspire Nautilus tanks. I love the fact that this is a big tank which makes it easier to refill and requires less refilling. I love the fact that it assembles and disassembles easily. I only have one persistent problem with this tank: no matter what I do, the coil ALWAYS floods. I have taken it apart and inspected every part for defects and found none.

I would love to keep using it, but half the time it doesn't produce much vapor (eliquid 50/50 pg/vg mix) and can't seem to figure out why it's flooding constantly. I use an itaste V3 battery set at between 7.5 to 10.0 wattage. Any help on where I am going wrong would be hugely appreciated.

I have several of these tanks as well and I think they are great. I had a similar issue as well when I first started using the Nautilus. Aspire suggested making sure the coil was screwed into the base of the and not into the chimney. My issue arose when I would unscrew the base to refill, the coil would remain in the chimney. Unscrewing the coil from the chimney and screwing it into the base corrected my issue. I hope this works for you as well.

I tried that. It didn't work for me. At first I thought something somewhere must be loose. I can't find any defects or loose parts. I also notice juice leaks into the base around and under the outside of the coil.

What airflow hole are you using? too much or too little airflow can affect the vape greatly. Too much airflow not enough vaccum pressure to pull thicker juices onto the wicks. Too little and you can pull too much and gurgle.

Side note after it starts to flood what are you doing? are you just firing it a little to burn the juice off? or blowing through it to get the juice out.

Also It could be the coil itself, If what I said about the airflow doesnt work I would try changing the coil out, Another solution could be to add a little wicking material ontop of the coils, similar to Kanger flavor wicks to hopefully soak some of the additional juice up.

I'm using the second smallest airhole. When I first got it, I tried every airhole. I don't think it's the airflow. I didn't have any problems with the tank until I changed the coil...now problems are all I have. :p I've gone through all my replacement coils already. I tried burning the juice off and letting the juice drain onto a q tip.

Have you tried soaking the coil in vodka? if its not the airflow causing flooding, then its the coil, if you clean it make sure everything except the coil itself is dry for a better seal, and like i said soak it in vodka or distilled water if you have either or you can just rinse it out and let it dry, then try again, beyond that Id say its just a bum coil.

That's really odd. I have 3 nautilus tanks that I use with my provaris and I haven't had any flooding issues. I use the 1.8 coils at 4.0 voltage, and I use the smallest air hole mostly. My eliquid is mostly PG with only 15% VG. I've taken them apart many times, and I always screw the atomizer into the base securely before attaching to the tank. I can only suggest that you switch to the 1.8 coil, if you are using the 1.6. I can't think of any reason why yours is flooding.

I will occasionally get gurgle when mouth to lung inhaling using the smaller air holes, and a friend showed me how to fix it. Open it up to the largest airflow, put your lips to the the air hole, fire and blow. Vapor should shoot out the top, this burns off the wick very quickly without drawing more liquid in. Has always worked well for me, in all of my tanks.

I had a similar problem and was ready to toss the Nautilus. It would flood, I'd hold some paper towel to the airhole and blow to clear it out, and blew ml's of liquid at a time.

Then I started closing the airflow while attaching the base/closing the tank. Basically, after I fill it, I make sure that the adjustable airhole is closed (is between holes). That seems to have fixed the issue for me!

For me, it was all about
Aspire Nautilus
coil practice and I finally got it! I would love it if the suckers would release the their
glass replacement tank
. So until they do, I buy nothing new, drip like a fool and make my own juices to keep me busy until they release it!!!!!
