I just recently bought a new pack of 1.2 ohm coils plus a new bottle of liquid (mr. salt-e blue razz lemonade). I've been noticing that about 2 days after I put in a new coil the resistance when I pull gets harder and harder. I cleaned everything out and put in a new coil and same thing happens, good for 1-2 days then it feels like sucking a golf ball through a straw.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Possibly a bad batch of coils or a bad batch of liquid? I've had the device for about 5 months now and this is the first time I'm experiencing this.

A little more information would be helpful. What device are you using what VG/PG is the juice. Razz lemonade doesn't sound like it would be clogging your coil unless it's a max VG juice. One thing you can try is to replace the coil and use a different juice or try the juice in a different device. I normally sub-ohm and it sounds like you're using a MTL device but someone else will be along with more knowledge about your device.

the vg/pg is 40/60. I use the aspire breeze. I've only been using the mr. salt-e brand of liquids ever since I got the device in December without any issues until this new bottle of the blue razz flavor.

If the problem started with this new juice, it is likely the juice is the problem. Try a different juice for a tank or two and see if it still does it.

If multiple juices do it, it is more likely to be the coils. There are low quality clone coils on the market which could also be the issue, they typically look the same but may have slight differences in font or boldness of the font on the box. I suggest only buying coils from reputable online dealers and reputable local vape shops.

Were you using the more MTL coils before? Or the lower resistance coils. I guess it could be your juice, but if this is a new type of coil, it may be the coils, and you may be getting less life out of them as sometimes, not always, the lower ohm coils are more robust than the more MTL coils. I think it's been mentioned elsewhere but I can't remember.

I'm just curious because you specified a new box of a certain resistance coils which is making me wonder if those are the coils you normally use.

Any juice, if sweet enough, can be a coil clogger. Either way, you could switch to a juice you were using before, and you may get slightly better results. It should tell you if it's the juice or the coils that are the issue. Best of luck,

Anna

I was actually using the 0.6 ohm coils this entire time and just last week the guy at my vape shop said I should be using 1.2 because they're better for salt nic liquids. I guess I'll stick with it for another day or 2 and if the problem persists maybe try a different flavor liquid. The main thing for me is the nicotine hit since I quit smoking last October and have been using my vape ever since.

I would go back to the 0.6 coil. Is your nic salt juice all new? What m.g. is it? Unless it's crazy high (higher than your prior juice) the whole "nic salt and special equipment" is just nonsense. You can use nic salts in sub0hm equipment at the right nic level which is what is key. Most folks don't have issues with 3 or 6 mg freebase, so unless someone is SUPER nic sensitive, they won't usually bother.

Nic salts are smoother, meaning they can be mixed at ungodly percentages. So, unless your salt juice is 45 mg/ml and you were at 24 mg/ml of freebase, the salt juice will not care what coil you use with it.

The 0.6 coil is going to (probably) emit more vapor per puff, but if your nic level change was 1:1, meaning you haven't increased it, there is no reason not to use the coil you prefer. It won't harm the coil, you should get approximately the same life out of it that you were getting.

However, if your nic salt is MUCH HIGHER than you were using, I'd say either go down in nic strength, and stay with the coil that works. It's going to work out better for you in the long run than burning through the other coils in a couple of days.

The whole "nic salt" capable device/coil/etc. it's just "marketing" of the newest, greatest craze in vaping. It's, for the most part, nonsense.

What matters is you aren't overdoing the nic, period, and that is all. You would be at higher risk of nic overload using a much higher nic level and the same coil.... Well, don't do that. If you want salt juices, get them at the level that was working for you before (or, slightly higher if you are feeling nic deficient).

Your body should tell you: nausea, shaking, dizziness, headaches, hiccups, yawning, fatigue if you are getting nic sick long before you would overdose. It's really almost impossible to do as long as you keep those general principles in mind. Etc.

Best of luck,

Anna

This is the exact liquid I'm currently using in the 45mg nic level Mr. Salt E-Blue Razz Lemonade E-Liquid 30ml

The brand and nic level have always been the same, I just try a new flavor whenever my current one runs out (for example before this one I had watermelon)
