Hi All,
I switched to vaping on 17th Jan 2014. Havent smoked a analog cigarette. since then. I started out with 18mg nicotine, slowly reduced to 6mg. I'd like to give-up vaping as well but I dont see that happening any time soon.
My question is regarding health aspect.
Way back in 2012 I stopped smoking for about 4 weeks cold turkey. In the 3rd week I noticed myself coughing out black/brown flecks in phlegm. I did bit of research and found that this is basically due to "regrowth of the cilia. Also, the cilia will start to perform its main job of bringing up tar and mucus from the lungs and into the throat". This finding made me feel good that my heart and lungs have started to recover from years of smoking. Unfortunately, I relapsed and smoking again and have struggled to quit smoking our right.
Its been over 3 months since I started vaping. I was expecting to see those flecks in phlegm but nothing. I keep thinking that my lungs are not getting worse because I have stopped smoking but they are not healing either, any thoughts on that?
Secondly, I understand that glycerine is not harmful for human consumption. I also know glycol is used in asthma inhalers but is it safe to inhale in large quantity (I vape two Kanger Mini ProTank v2 in a day)? Human body can digest it but how does it get rid of it from lungs?
Hope I am making sense.
Kind Regards,
Javed
