Yes. I had one of those little blue plastic Rizla tube machines, and one of the "old school" Rizla rollers made from bent sheet metal and a red plastic belt.

I've started using that Rizla belt roller for forming wicks out of raw hemp fiber (I had half a kilo of the stuff, from my paper-making days in grad school) for RBAs. It works pretty well...

I've rolled my own cigarettes for the last 5 years or so. I never much minded rolling them since it was better than running to the store to buy them at odd hours of the day or night. And what a difference in price! I could roll my own for about $1 a pack. That's probably part of the reason I ended up smoking 3 to 4 packs a day at one point. I'm definitely not saving any money by vaping, that's for sure. I'm finding it much too convenient having my tobacco, tubes and rolling machine sitting here calling my name every day.

My first introduction to rolling my own were in a remote cabin, middle of nowhere, roughly 20+ yrs ago. We were celebrating the midsummers eve, as most of the folk does in Finland. As it turned out, I didn't bring enough smokes with me and ended up having a discussion with my friend as to what now. Found out he had stashed some pipe tobacco, complete with papers and some filters in the cabin; I could give them a try if I would be climbing walls otherwise.

Well. As you all rollers know, I didn't exactly roll my first in a minute, without a roller. Think I wasted roughly five papers, before I managed to make one, it faintly represented a proper cigarette. It was very loose as I soon found out, you don't tilt your first rolled one not a single degree ever. Managed to disperse all the tobacco into the wind and then the filter fell off. Right.

Although it wasn't easy, I managed to get my fix and as the savings were immense and hits off the board, I was sold. For the first ~half a year or so, I just used a roller but afterwards I pushed myself to be as self sufficient as possible and that was the course of my smoking career until March 2012 when I made the switch. Never looked back. Nice to once in a while go down the memory lane ;)

The orange gambler crank machine, same as the more expensive top machine, but a different color. Really brought the price down, somewhere around a $1.00 to a $1.25 a pack. Machine worked great for about 3 years, still works, a little inconvenient, have to make sure the tobacco isn't to moist or too dry and make sure you have tubes. I am sure the resulting cigarettes had fewer chemicals than the pre-rolled store variety, overall a good way to save money and get a less dangerous product.

Hubby rolled our Cigs for the last almost two years of our smoking. We had one of those Machines that you'd put the filtered tube in one end, push the tobacco in that slot, then pull the handle down and it would stuff your tube full. We were on our second roller..just purchased it a couple months before we started Vaping. When we started, he had over 1 carton already made...then enough tobacco/tubes to make at least 1 more carton, if not more. He wouldn't let me put any of it away for the first 2 weeks...it drove me nuts..seeing the roller on the coffee table, then a carton of smokes already made up under the coffee table, when I was wanting a Cig so bad...but that's what helped him quit...he sits right at the coffee table every time he sits down..it helped him seeing them every day, all day long...said knowing that they were there IF he wanted to pick one up and smoke it...he never did though...now it's all tucked away in our closet...well, about 3 weeks ago, he did give away all the already rolled cigs, to a friend of his.

    No you can't
RYO since 1993 made the switch to ecig oct 2012, best thing I ever did. Like everyone else wasn't the cost since RYO cost me less then $1.00 a pack. I have spent over $700.00 on vaping. But it still worked out ok for me. There is a guy up the block who I told about RYO he dose not want to roll his own but will buy a pack from me at $6.00 that's $5.00 for me. He paid for all my vaping supplies so far.

Only one issue I have is that since I have RYO supplies in my house, I do make a cig for myself after I light it up it taste bad and I don't like it but I do it sometimes out of the habit.

I used a Top-O-Matic tube stuffer for about a 7-8 years. It worked great and after I got used to it I liked the stinkies I made alot better than the store bought. It also saved alot of money, I did the math one time and figured out that I was saving about $40 per hour I spent sitting with my machine. That is why I will probably never break even vaping but I do enjoy it alot more.

Used the Tubes and a machine with Rez tobacco. Cost was about $11.25 per carton. They were so strong no one ever asked to borrow one :D Smoked 1 1/2 PAD and when I began vaping needed 36 mg juice. Had 6 cartons left over and after a lot of thinking decided to give them to a homeless shelter as I figured they had a lot more on their minds than quitting smoking.
